Bushfire Kitchen - Temecula

Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were really impressed. We both got a different tri-tip sandwich and they couldn’t have been more different. One had cheddar and bbq sauce and the other had Chimichurri. The bread was good and the meat was awesome. Everyone was friendly and the outdoor seating was nice. There were a few tables inside but the weather was so beautiful we wanting to sit outside.

I'd like to start with the fact that this was once my favorite restaurant in Temecula. The food here provides the perfect homemade "comfort food" feel. My favorite dishes were the tri tip bowl and salmon bowl, both with mashed potatoes and squash. My opinion has changed ever since we got takeout a couple weeks back. My "medium well" salmon was raw in the middle and the mashed potatoes were in grossly overcooked layers, like they were scraped from the bottom of a dish that sat on a warming tray for far too long. I reached out to Bushfire, because I really loved their food before this experience and I wanted to give them the chance to apologize. They never reached out. I'm truly disappointed in the customer service here and I'm saddened that I most likely will never be back. In short, when its good, the food here is absolutely delicious, but when its bad (thankfully this seems rare), they will give you something inedible with no remorse.

They have changed the menu a bit. sad to see the pulled pork bowl off the menu now. In the 20 minutes we spent eating I would say at least 50% of the customers were asking for things that had been taken off of the menu. Looks like a bad move if you ask me, too many regular customers that liked the older items. I ordered the chicken plate and it's not bone in anymore, less desirable for me. The sliced breast is too dry. The bone in is juicer and more flavorful. I'll leave the rest of my original review since I still like this place. But I also liked the old menu. Delicious and Fresh I've had the Chicken, Pulled Pork and Salmon. All had great flavor. The sweet potato fries are good as well as the roasted vegetables and squash.
