Original Hoagie Shop

These sandwiches are the best hoagie I have tasted. Connoisseurs need to try The Original Hoagie. I only tried them because they serve the employees of American Airlines Shipping and more. They handmade each sandwich. And even though I got mine at the end of the work day, it was still fresh, not soggy, and tastes amazing. Catering or prep for a party I will be using The Original Hoagie for all my needs. Thank you!

Wonderful family, great service. Sandwiches are huge and flavor yummy!!! Wish restaurant and counter/credit card station was a little cleaner for food establishment ( coming from a restaurant owner myself) it's always good to step on other side of counter and see what customer sees. But all in all it was fabulous !!

Probably the best most freshest subs in Tempe. Regarding the owners, husband seems like a wonderful man. Genuine, sweet, seems to care. I’m not too fond of the wife, however. She didn’t want to refund or exchange a salad 5 minutes after I placed the order which was not scheduled to be picked up for another hour. it only took five minutes because I tried to call back immediately but she kept picking up and hanging up the phone so I couldn’t get through. I just needed to change it to a sub after I heard back from my executive, but she claimed there was nothing she could do because she had already “made the salad”. I spent over $150 yesterday (and gave a tip) and let her know this was my first time trying them and had planned to bring them more business since I order meeting food daily for execs. One would think they’d want to retain this kind of customer since they are a small mom and pop, but I didn’t feel valued over a $13 salad. She refused to refund or exchange it so instead I had to keep the salad which is still in my fridge, and order an additional sandwich on top of that. Greedy is the word that comes to mind. Because the sandwiches we’re good we may order from there again but our main business will remain with AZ Sandwich Co. across the street, and Little Miss BBQ down the street - they both have fantastic food and even better customer service. Reliable, consistent, and guaranteed. Sacks Hardy and Romancing the Bean are two other wonderful mom and pops in the area, must try!!

Stopped here because a friend recommended it. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak to keep it simple as I was a first-timer. Jeff and Nairi were very friendly and fun to talk to, and my Philly Cheesesteak was absolutely THE BEST. It literally changed my life, and I can't have any other. Next time I'll get there earlier and have my sandwich in the dining room because it looks pretty inviting.

I came in about a week ago because I wanted a cheesesteak as close to home (Philly) I could get but was apprehensive, not really expecting much due to several disappointing cheesesteaks received from other shops in Arizona. Let me tell you… I was pleasantly impressed with my sandwich and conveyed that satisfaction to the owner. I told him how dissatisfied I was after being referred to Forefathers by several people and he said he heard the same sentiment from other customers who came to him after going there… Imagine that! Anyway, I was returning today but my battery died so I have to wait til Monday, they’re closed on Sundays. Great job guys!

very midwest/east coast family vibe. I loved that immediately. the place also was spotless. I was there at 2 PM so just after the lunch rush, I was impressed with the cleanliness and everything seemed to be in order.. ordered an 8 inch hot pastrami and it was filling and very good. there are many things on the menu to try and I will definitely be back to try the cheesesteak. but if the pastrami is any indication, I'm sure it will be lights out. Delicious. I am a fan. I will be back.😎👍🏻
