Sonic Drive-in

My 4-star food rating isn’t really significant; it’s fast food, and I primarily stop for a drink. BUT the employees here are exceptional in the service industry. I wish, specifically, I’d asked the name of the woman who helped me a few days ago. My Diet Coke tasted like something other than Diet Coke. I hit the little red button and let them know. She came out, of course, with a new drink, but then apologized sincerely and thanked ME for two things…what? First, for being so good about it. More significantly, for alerting them to a problem with the syrup ratio in their machine they now knew to address before there were more unhappy customers. Seriously. She immediately took away the trepidation I often feel about expressing even a legitimate complaint. I can’t imagine anyone caring to read a long, positive review of a fast food place, but I hope a manager of this location takes notice and puts an extra bonus in the stockings of the employees at this location on Elliot Rd in Tempe.

On this night, Thursday February ninth, 2023, my life changed forever. You may be wondering what led me to this sonic on kyrene and Elliot. Im sitting here asking myself the same thing. Maybe there was something in the air or the way the stars aligned or maybe just because I was hungry. I may never know. What I do know is that not only did I leave with a sonic blast… but I left with a life long friend. He will be the god father to my children, the cook to my kitchen and the sonic to my blast. Cody, if you’re reading this, you changed my life that night. I have a new definition of love, family, peace, and Ice cream. A chef always say “the most important ingredient is love” and now I know this to be true thanks to Cody. He should run for president. The world would be a better place if everyone was like Cody. I was very fortunate to be blessed the way I was tonight and I hope to carry this message on to other lonely souls. If you’re ever craving something sweet on a Thursday night, you know where to go and you know who to go to. My stomach is full but my heart is fuller. If he hasn’t already, Cody needs to be promoted.

Stopped by for some drinks during happy hour. It was rather busy, so we did have to wait a while for our drinks. The car hop was on roller blades, which was pretty impressive for how fast and efficient he was being. He forgot 3 straws, which we didn't notice until we got home, but otherwise, the order was correct.

I haven’t been to Sonic in at least 10 years, but decided to stop by for lunch today. I went through the drive thru, and I was blown away by the service! Jack was awesome. My order was right, the food was hot, and Jack was very pleasant and personable. He even gave my dog a biscuit! I had a great experience and will be coming back more often. Thank you for the great service, it definitely does not go unnoticed.
