Allegro Pizza

While at Thousand Oaks, I decided to try Allegro Pizza. guy setting beside me ordered the chopped salad with BBQ Chicken. It looked great. But I ordered a $18.00 Pizza. Mushroom, Sausage, peperoni pizza, It was small and thin, not very much of any of the above mention items. Even the guy setting beside me said, THAT'S IT. It wasn't very good and not worth the money. SO if your flaying out of Thousand Oaks. might try the salad or another restaurant. Disappointed!!!!!

This was my first time ordering from here because I am fed up with Olive Garden's prices but was searching for decent Italian food without extremely inflated margins. I'm just tired of paying $20 for a meal when the meat is frozen, and their beef tastes boiled rather than seared, etc. I'm Italian and learned how to do Italian food right by my late grandmother. Allergro Pizza is a misleading name because their pasta was GREAT. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, and it wasn't grandma's but man what a pleasant surprise I received. The garlic knots had fresh minced garlic and ghee. The pasta itself seemed seasoned well in salted water as it should be. The pasta sauce seemed to be married to the pasta properly so the pasta actually absorbed the flavor of the meat, tomato sauce, and seasoning. The meat in the sauce tasted like it was seared before being simmered and not just thrown in a pot and boiled to death. Was it the best I ever tasted, no absolutely not, but for a realistic price of ~$15, and the quality that hits above Olive Garden, and maybe even Maggiano's, I am sold. I'll be a new regular for sure. And they accepted card no problem. So apparently cash only isn't required there anymore.

I went for pizza , the guys seemed nice enough and it appeared to be pretty authentic, they didn’t have a lunch size pizza but said they had pizza by the slice. I ordered 2 pieces of pepperoni, they proceeded to put pepperoni on a pizza that had been sitting out, cut 2 pieces then heat it up. To say it was gross is an understatement , and they definitely microwaved it. I may try it again but certainly I will Never get the pizza there again.

Wow. All I can say is they are the best. We have been going there since 1999. On the 24th of June we order from them for our 20th anniversary and with this pandemic. We did not go to. Restaurant. I ordered and my husband John picked up our dinner our order When he got their they said the our dinner was free. Free. A $62 Dollar order we even ordered cannolis and a pizza for our son. I want to say. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It was the best thing that happened in a while. I have and will continue to go and recommed you guys to our friends.
