The David Duncan House

We had a great experience at this location a few weeks ago when we came in with gift cards on a Saturday eve. The food was very delicious! The server was so kind and attentive. Just a kind spirited person, you could tell and so helpful. Service was fantastic and very fast. Was a great treat to spoil yourself! The garlic bread they provide as a free side is to die for!

The combination of food and ambiance was perfect. The food is reasonably priced and frankly I'm shocked they aren't more popular. I will definitely go back, the prices are within range of quality food. The service was good and the place is beautiful. Great date night or celebratory meal. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The only uncomfortable situation was one of the bussers made me feel super uncomfortable with the constant attention and compliments. Besides that, it was all good!

Back on May 1st, 2022, I treated my family out for my 39th birthday to David Duncan House. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality from appetizers to entrees to desserts. I ordered a 12 oz. New York strip, medium and it was one of the best steaks I've had in years. Absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. David Duncan House did not disappoint, it exceeded my expectations. My family has been eating here for years and we're always impressed. My only regret is I tipped our server $40. I should've tipped more.

Recently celebrated my birthday at the David Duncan House and I am so glad that I did. The restaurant is so beautiful inside, I personally really like restaurants with dim lighting. Our server was so attentive and polite. Even the other staff were very friendly. The food was great, wine was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!

Everything was so tasty. Servers where so polite and on top of everything. Great wine and drink selection. Lovely focaccia bread to start and fresh oysters. Steak was done exactly to my liking which is Chicago rare and I know that’s not an easy request. For Dessert I had a cheesecake baklava that was out of this world. Definitely will be back and can’t wait for that day :)

Love the ambience ! If you are planning a date night this place is it. I got a lobster pasta which was not great, but the quantity of lobster in the pasta was definitely more than any other place in Toronto. A bonus for all lobster lovers. We also got 4 desserts and every single one of them was made to perfection. If you get there hungry, the bread served at the start should satisfy you for a while.

We ordered their fillet mignon steak with some sides, the food quality was good and fresh but for the price we paid, I was expecting a better dish. The interior design was very beautiful, cozy and I really like the style which was close to ginger bread house styles. The service was in a good standard as well. Overall its 4 out 5 compare to other places in same level.
