Came here on Saturday afternoon for the soba noodles with tempura with my family. Love hole-in-the-wall places and understand service is usually an afterthought, but...We felt like we inconvenienced her when we asked for recommendations because she was very snappy and condescending. It felt horrible. The broth was tasty but the soba and the whole experience from the run down place and unnecessary rude service, took away from a nice family experience. So sad cause the tempura was good.

Got the Kakiage Hot Soba and a side of Salmon Onigiri. The food came out quick and was quite delicious. This place is CASH ONLY but there is an ATM next door and they did mention we could order on their website to eat in restaurant but the prices are a bit higher. Parking is available behind the building.

11/22/2021 Okay. This is about an hour drive but I had to do it. I've been craving tanuki soba for several weeks. I went down here with my daughter today. There was only one staff member working so the wait was 30 minutes. Others turned away but I could not after driving that long. This is one of the very few places that makes their udon/soba in house. I really love the flavor of the broth. No one can beat this place. I’ve been coming here for years. I love the chewy noodles, whether it’s soba or udon. My favorite is the Tanuki udon. They make their noodles as opposed to purchasing frozen noodles.

Very simple, but great! Needed to reset my diet for the week because I was eating too much red meat and unhealthy foods. Soba seemed like a perfect meal, not too heavy but still a decent portion amount of food. The workers all speak Japanese as well, which is always reassuring to me when I eat at Japanese restaurants.
