The Steam Packet Inn Restaurant

I have never stayed here... I have had their food Sunday lunches fish and chips etc. I can honestly say I have never found any of the staff rude. I have been here so many time that the service I have had here has been great the food really nice. They are a little pricey but look at the location looking over the river seeing the seal in the river eating fish over winter. I've enjoyed this place alot and will definitely recommend to everyone... Their chef should be complimented and the staff and the manager of this place should be proud to have such a lovely customers who actually as well know what it's like to work behind the bar. This place deserves a 5 star rating and people who come here from far and wide should always know they get a warm welcome and all the staff treat every customer the same with kindness and respect. The best a customer can do is to treat the staff the same as they treat you the customer. A++++

Food was absolutely phenomenal, we went for something to eat fairly late as we arrived late. Everything we were served was fresh, I can’t remember the last time I had proper fresh scampi. The burger was absolutely lovely, cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Staff were lovely and the drinks were good too. Super reasonably priced, if you go make sure you dine because it’s an inn / pub but the food is certainly heads above any other pub I’ve ever been to.

What a wonderful place - we’d heard The Steam Packet Inn had been completely transformed but it surpassed our expectations! Friendly, welcoming staff giving exceptional service. Fabulous food with a wide choice of beverage including a range of ales, cider and lager. Fantastic views from the terrace and a beautifully refurbished bar and restaurant. And great value too. So rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes. Top of our list - would have given 7 stars if I could

My partner and I went today at this pub. Really lovely pub by the river. It was pretty busy but the food come fast. My partner had a bugers which was amazing just to look at. He enjoyed and he says that it was really tasty. I had ceaser salad. I found my food really delicious however really expensive for a ceaser salad. The price was £15.00. The pub is it in a lovely spot, just next to the river, you can have your meal while you have a look to the people who are doing puddle bording. I really raccomend.

Just popped in to have a look around. Glad I did. Great outdoor space right on the Riverside. Many tables covered with umbrellas with comfortable chairs. Small restaurant probably 10 or 12 tables although eating outdoors would be easily achieved. The bar was compact but was well stocked, manager who served me polite and efficient and very helpful. Lovely glass of Merlot and a glass of cider sitting beside the river on a Friday afternoon. Most excellent.
