Frisch's Big Boy

The place was clean and not very busy. The fish and fries were cooked to a good color. The fish tasted like fish sticks and the fries were unsalted. The Texas toast had perfect color but was cut with the grill scraper and had a solid line of brown/wet crumbs making it taste disgusting. I told my very inattentive waitress and she did nothing about it. I was not seeking any discount as the meal was pretty inexpensive. Another, properly cut piece of toast would have been welcomed. Staying in the back and letting someone else check me out was probably not the best choice. That checkout person did not ask me how my meal was but did so to the person in front of me and behind me. With so many promising choices in Troy, I doubt I make it back. I have spent years in kitchens cooking and managing. Take a close look at the toast in the pics and see for yourself.

What a great place eat and chill out. Service was fast. The food was fresh, hot and really good.The menu has changed. Mostly sandwiches, sides, drinks, dessert,breakfast and a sufficient salad bar with soups. No dinners. This Frisch's was super clean inside and out. We were treated very well and enjoyed everything about this Frisch's.

For a family restaurant, Frisch's was surprisingly good. Sissy, our waitress, was very welcoming and extremely friendly. She was efficient and we got our food within 5 minutes. The quantities of food were rather small but they met our needs and it was very tasty. I would definitely go back there when we are traveling through Troy.

I stopped in for the first time at this location. I was impressed by how clean everything looked. Nicki was my server and she did a great job. Food was good and hot. In some restaurants, the salt and pepper shakers are half filled and grimy. Not these! Again the glass dividers were spotless, and I heard one of the servers behind me say she was going to roll some silverware. So many don’t find things to do. They would rather stand around then work. Kudos to Frisch’s!

I was greeted right away. My server Sissy was awesome! She was friendly and almost talked me into desert. Had the best ham, cheese, Mushroom omelette from Annette the cook.The egg was fluffy and cooked clear through. It looked like Nellie was on top of the breakfast bar. It was stocked and fresh.. I will come back again.
