Tomi is a really good buffet, in context. When approached as a treasure hunt, you’ll be richly rewarded. In contrast to many other “buffets” some very fine dining is possible because of their commitment to high quality tasty food. That said, some dishes are as good as you can get at a five star sit-down restaurant; for example the roast duck, some sushi, ... the Longevity Red Bean Bun, etc. The Treasured Finds become all the more prized because you can get seconds, thirds, etc., etc. to your heart’s content. The odds are in your favor here; you count your blessings then go back for more.

Went on a Tuesday at lunchtime for Mom's birthday. We were seated immediately. It wasn't very busy, maybe two thirds of the tables were empty.
There are a lot of options in the sushi area. The nigiri has the thinnest slices of fish I've ever seen and an excessive amount of rice. It's a buffet, it's to be expected that expensive fish is rationed while the cheap rice is used as filler. There are several different rolls, some tempura dipped and fried. Also, very little fish in proportion to the rice. The tempura shrimp is mostly tempura batter that is soggy and oily and has the metallic taste of too much baking soda so that there's no shrimp flavor. The tempura vegetables are better. I don't find much on the hot food side because I'm already stuffed with so much rice and tempura batter. I tried some steamed mussels that seemed like they were boiled in too much water and then chilled in more water that removed all taste. The edamame was water filled and didn't slip out of the pods easily. I had a blueberry crepe and some fruit for dessert. The crepe is made while you wait. It's okay. The pineapple and orange were sweet. We only went because of Mom's birthday and her meal was free with two other adult meals. I think it's a place I'll only go if someone chooses it for their birthday, but it's edible and the waitress kept our drinks refilled.

We come here for our family birthdays.
Yesterday was my birthday and my mom came to visit, i had to take her to try my favorite seafood buffet, only on my birthday because I eat free. My mom will be 89 this year, she likes lobster, crabs and shrimps, she doesn’t eat sushi, I was kinda worried that she wouldn’t like it.
Anyhow, 7 of us went in, the new name TasteBay instead of Tomi, it seems only the name changed and nothing else.
I gave mom a tour and she found her favorite crabs and lobsters tray, without knowing where to sit, the kids got the table, she got a plate and asked her in-law to get some lobsters.
The place was quite empty since it’s on a Tuesday nigh, i was afraid that there’s not much food left but the management was excellent, the food was hot and the sushi was fresh. The price has gone up since last year was $25 for week days and now $27. Again, I ate free and 2 of my moms had senior discounts LOL. My mom liked all the foods here, she said hot and sour soup was the best anywhere, the lobsters was tasty. She liked the desserts too. I’ve never seen my mom enjoyed eating like this anywhere and she’s been dining at many restaurants. BTW, my mom is a great cook herself. She definitely will want to come here again on her birthday day. Looks like we will come back here more often than NOT LOL. It was my birthday but someone else seemed to be more happy than her birthday boy.
So, someone like my mom who doesn’t eat sushi, they can still enjoy all the hot, cooked seafood. I do like the dimsum bar, hot brisket noodles soup. I ate quite a few chicken feet. I didn’t eat any lobsters, left them for mom and i like whole steamed lobsters better.
I like to eat everything, a little of each.
My mom said it’s quite inexpensive for what they provide, she thought it would be $40 or more. Yes mom, all restaurants love you, only your children pay through the nose.LOL.
Everyone enjoyed the dinner, the host and the waiters, busboy were so pleasant. This is now my moms favorite restaurant although she lives across the bay.

Various kinds of food, sushi, chinese food, yummy desserts. Lots of seats. It's better to make reservation for big group.

I didn't like the house ramen so much. It was OK for a ramen place. But, the gyoza melts in your mouth. They're really good. The takoyaki was worth it, too!

I was very disappointed at this location the food was cold dry and the famous crab legs where stingy skinny and only a few to choose from
Unlike the service and the abundance that you get at the other locations

I really liked this place! it was my first time there but I cant wait to go back. They have a good number of sushi, soups, meats, salads and desserts. They even make fresh crepes for desserts right on the spot. The quality of food is great.
