Chow Town Grill & Buffet

Love this place! Been here 3 times in the last 6 months and every time I leave satisfied. They have good selections of food, a hibachi station and sushi. I don’t understand the negative reviews on this place from some people. Workers are friendly, attentive to clearing the plates and bringing drinks, not pushy on tips like some claim and the food was always fresh the 3 xs I went. One of the best Chinese buffets in South Georgia I’ve found. Would def recommend!

I usually don't like to rate restaurants, but if you want to eat a cold and spoil meal then eat here. I was trying to be positive and just eat my cold meal but when they gave me my chicken on my first bite I felt like vomiting. I was still trying to be nice and I notify my waitress, I actually whispered so no one would hear and they could just fix the issue. But 2 minutes later the manager comes to our table seem like he had an attitude, telling me they put out new chicken every morning and that it was the ingredients that I choose that made the chicken taste bad. My ingredients were only onions and peppers at this point I only said "okay no problem". I really hope it was just my bad experience.

Sushi was old, rice hard, tuna in the middle of one piece brown and hard. The "normal" Chinese entrees were fine, except the coconut shrimp. I had a piece and the flavor of the sauce was familiar but I couldn't place it. So I had my wife try a dab of the sauce with out telling her what it was from, she confirmed my suspicion when she said it was coconut pudding. Couldn't eat it. The wife tried the hibachi and it was decent and the cook was nice. Overall service and friendliness was great just terrible on the sushi and oddness on the normal entrées.

This food is HORRIBLE! Nothing was hot, sushi was STALE. Do not eat from here. I was thinking wow a buffet only 15$, that’s awesome. These reviews are a LIE! This food is sooo bad. The cake was equivalent to eating flavored paper. I wish I was overreacting. On top of the food the lady was hovering for a Tip. A tip for what? She was literally rushing us. Yeah no. It’s a good laugh, but not for good eating. I only had one plate, couldn’t finish it. The chicken on the stick was the best thing and it was still burnt. This is a salmonella/ ecoli outbreak waiting to happen. Eating lukewarm food at a buffet is literally how you get food poisoning. Someone call the health department!!!

I just want to say that I would love to know who the owners are and personally call them to let them know just how disappointed I am in this place. I went in today with my family and my 2 year old had a meltdown which is normal with a toddler. Instead of the manager coming to ask if everything was okay, I was received with “Can you please leave the restaurant because he is disturbing everyone else?” I walked out and paid only for my drinks as we had literally just sat down. I am very upset with the lack of understanding and the unprofessional way we were approached about it. Will never return here.

Just left Chow Town Chinese restaurant in VALDOSTA GEORGIA. The only words to describe the food and the manager is: AWFUL, AWFUL AWFUL. They advertise on the internet that they have over 300 items. All Bull S__T. They were out of chicken and was told it would be about 20 more minutes before done. We went to the manager he said take other items and basically be happy. He would refund our money and he got upset because we wanted our money back. This is not over yet. I will go up the ladder as far as I can with such a poor attitude towards his customers. So the bottom line is, if you like food over cooked and there is not over 300 items as advertised than knock yourself out.
