We were given something other than what we ordered ...and rushed because it was almost closing time. A week ago we had the experience that i described above ... So we decided ok ... We will try this again. And this time ... The appearance was unappealing and not tasty at all. Too much salt in the chilli on the pups. Thank you Krystals but no thx to ordering again. I do hope it gets better😕

Girl at the counter was not friendly or pleasant at all. She obviously doesn't like her job and should not be there. I ordered the pick 5 and only wanted pickle and onion; she said- "so plain then" and I said NO with onions and pickles only. She didn't respond. I then said did you put onion and pickles only? She then said YEAH with a whole bunch of sarcasm. Needless to say they were plain. I also wanted to change my fry to a chili cheese pup but she said I couldn't because I already put my order in. Keeping in mind that you get 5 items for one price; it should be easy to switch my fry to a chili cheese pup. I guess she just couldn't be bothered with a customers easy request. Also every time we go there the ice cream machine is down.

I walked into the restaurant tonight because it has been years since I have been around a Steak ‘n Shake and really wanted to eat here. The first thing that I noticed was that the dining room had a barricade of chairs blocking anyone from entering. (Like a literal pile of them not a neat wall). The second thing that I noticed was that it looked like the credit card swipe machines had been literally ripped from the counter and were missing. Next I noticed that there were open trays of food all over the place behind the counter, fries and other trash all over the floor, I could hear the fryer cooking but could not see another soul in the place. I stood there for a few minutes waiting to see ANYONE and nothing. Eventually a female employee walked thru the dining room and disappeared the other way without ever acknowledging my presence. I waited another min or two and then left. I have been in less hostile feeling and cleaner, not to mention more hospitable war zones that this place. Really ashamed at how far steak’n’shake has fallen to make me feel this way let alone leave a negative review. Maybe next time, somewhere else I will finally be able to kill this craving. SMH!!!!!

Please understand...I love Krystal's. Regardless of the cause, it's unacceptable to have to patiently wait 30min in a drive thru with only 3 other cars in it and only a couple of parked vehicles in the lot...all to finally get to the window and grab that sack of Krystal's that you ordered with cheese and onions only....and find for the SECOND CONSECUTIVE visit...it's a sack of regular Krystal's that were so hurriedly prepared that there's disproportionate squirts of mustard and pickles because it was apparently too time consuming to pick a single slice apart from the others had i even ordered it way. Unfortunately, after waiting a sit-down dining amount of time in a short drive thru line, I'm not hanging around the rest of the hour to have the order correctly prepared...possibly with retaliatory "extra" ingredients. I treat the individuals preparing my food with the utmost respect so don't misunderstand; I'm not a Karen. I gratefully took my sack of carelessly prepared Krystal's home and chalked it up to untrained, young employees who, in a society where unemployment is incentivized, were working on a Tuesday evening and were polite. A sack full of Krystal's is not quite the staple of my diet that it once might have been in my younger years, but i still look forward to and enjoy the few times i do indulge that craving. Sadly, if my last two visits are any indication, i can't even do that. Best of luck to the owner(s) and manager(s). I hope you're able to return your enterprise to it's former glory.

So the woman at the drive thru tells us her cash register crashed and she can’t take our order. We say we will wait til it’s up (why drive around we are off the interstate traveling and driving to another krystals was not an option) and she said the machine would be up in ten mins. So we are sitting there two mins she comes back on the radio and tells us to leave or she will call the police that she is BUSY and didn’t have a way to Ring up the order. This is a national Chain. I see cars ahead of me in the window getting food. I ask then she can Comp It or we can wait the ten mins. She says she is calling police. I want to have a corporate rep to return my complaint call immediately. This rude ineffective employee was racially Prejudiced against us. The other people in line were served time is 1:45 on Saturday March 20. I was a fast food manager with KFC for many years and would never have escalated as she did. If a machine is down for ten mins is it ok to tell a drive thru customer to LEAVE? There were people behind us IN LINE TOO!
