Authentic Italian! Was totally floored by the bread and spiced olive oil, which is complementary. And then Calamari...wow! If it is on menu, I always order calamari, and this was the best ever. No smell...fish or oil...just flavors. Rest of the order was take out which my family thoroughly enjoyed for sure. I was too full to eat anymore. It looked like straight out of mama's kitchen. 😃

I have been several times in Via Mercanti and the food was fine. But my experience today was far from being pleasant. We ordered 2 pizzas and one fish of the day and we had to wait more than 1 hour and nothing. Then they informed us that the delay was due to the fact that the chef was new, which leaves a lot to say about the management of the place, when on a full day they put someone without experience. The pizza was like watery soup and did not taste good. I'm not sure if I would go back to the chef or the manager. After I left thetad I got a upset stomach. Pizza disgusting. I am very disappointed in this place for my own experience and also for seeing upset customers leaving after waiting more than an hour for their food and not getting plus their kid didn't eat due bad food management.

Buonissima Buonissima! We just hosted a large rehearsal dinner there and the service + cucina was perfect. We had several large antipasto platters, grilled squid, focaccia, lamb, grilled chicken and beef tenderloin + pasta for the kids. For dessert we had the in-house Tiramisu followed by espresso/cappuccino and Montenegro. The plates were cleaned lol. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The premises is very well kept and clean. The food was hot and aromatic. The wine was chilled appropriately. It really reminded me of the nicest restaurants in Sorrento I visited last year! Not an easy task when your doing so for 50+ people. I take my hat off to Francesco and his staff. I have no photos of the food, we devoured it without a second thought lol. Sono pieno come un uovo! 😁😁😁😁

What a hidden gem we discovered tonight in Concord ontario....hidden smack dab in some industrial complex at Jane and hwy 7 is this authentic Italian trattoria that blew us all away from service to entertainment to food and deserts.....not to mention their tvs showing the leaf game...the service was amazing..great waitresses and waiters...the host Francesco came to greet us...the Calabrese singer Franco even catered his songs to the crowd and got everyone in the restaurant involved...very cool...the food was absolutely exquisite...the wood oven pizza and homemade noodles casalinga wow...absolutely everything was perfect...loved it...hit it when your in the area... a must and I promise you'll be back...una bona jobba Francesco....ci vediamo presto....ciao
