Irresistible Cakes

I ordered a cake today, it was a simple cake but the results i got very not up to the mark. the bakers probably used scrap pieces of fondant to make a name tag on the base of the cake. i have had way better cakes made for less money. This cake was definitely not worth $200. Very poor finishing and no innovation or efforts at all.

Hello, My name is Maverick Sacramento. I was a client for Irresistible Cakes for my wedding day on November 14, 2021. I don't review companies publicly because I don't have a lot of issues most of the time. Yet, with Irresistible cakes, they have forced me to make an exception. We requested a style cake from this company in hopes that they would provide us an exemplary product. My family, as well as my wife's, are frequent customers to this establishment. More specifically, a client to their Woodbridge location. We were very hopeful in the delivery of the cake. They notified us that this cake would not be a problem. At first we were quoted approximately $550~ for the cake we wanted. After a couple of emails later, that price changed from $550 to $840. This was a huge jump that was very unexpected, but we went with it since we trusted this company at the time. Time goes by and its our wedding day. My wife took a look at the cake and immediately contacted the Woodbridge office to let them be aware of our disappointment with the style, taste, and outcome of the cake. I was so frustrated that my wife had to do this on our wedding day, but I understood how she felt and I supported her with calling them since this cake was completely unacceptable. After our wedding, my wife was in conversation with Alex (Business Manager) regarding our issues with the cake. He said he would speak to his "boss" regarding our issues and he would get back to us. This conversation happened around November 15-16, 2021. We also sent them emails and did calls regarding our dissatisfaction and showed them proof of where they went wrong with the cake. It is now November 23, 2021 where I finally had to get involved to speak with Alex, since it seems that they were dodging my wife from providing us a solution. When I finally spoke to Alex, he notified me that the best they could do is give a credit for their cake, an anniversary cake, or a very small refund. 3 issues with these solutions: 1. To receive a credit after not meeting our expectation on our wedding day makes no sense to take. Why would we want a credit to purchase a cake when we were not happy with the cake they provided on our wedding day? This makes no sense to do. Solution void. 2. An anniversary cake will not solve our problem. If we were not able to get the cake we wanted for our Wedding, how does it make sense that we would receive an anniversary cake expecting a different outcome? Again, makes no sense. Solution void. 3. A small refund of less than the purchase price does not equal anywhere to the amount we spent. For example, we spent $840 on our wedding cake. A refund of 10% or less would not amount to nearly the hassle, planning, and coordination we had to do on our part to make sure this cake was exemplary. Again, this makes no sense and at this point, it is truly unfair. Solution void. Update**: This update is from November 24, 2021. I am updating this post now (Feb 2022)to provide feedback. The offer they provided back is unreasonable, only representing what I have already said in issue 3. In addition to the offer, I would “have” to remove this post. I cannot agree to this. My post will stay to provide my review of your establishment. "The original picture that we sent to ICakes was a navy blue airbrushed cake with a double barrel (two cakes stacked on top) top and second tier. The cake was supposed to be accented with silver and white candy bubbles, of varying sizes, cascading down the sides. What we received was a 3 tier cake covered in almost black fondant that sweat so badly all the silver candies started to bleed the color. There was only one (1) size candy bubbles and they used white, silver, and GOLD. There was no gold in the original image. They tried to cover the blending of the tiers with a mismatched colored piping job that was poorly executed. There was pitting and notches in the fondant. The top of the cake wasn't even covered in the candy and was very patchy. You can even see track marks in the fondant from where the candies rolled down the sides."

If I could give this place no stars I would because they don’t even deserve 1 star. The guy at the front is so disrespectful and does not know how to run a business. We ordered a cake and gave them specific instructions on how we wanted our cake to look. It was a simple cake with a few flowers and a crown but he decided to change the design and without getting approval first. When we told him this was not the design we asked for, he pulled out an old crown in a shelve that had probably been sitting there for a long time and 2 really small flowers that looked old. He then wanted to charge us an additional fee for the items that were supposed to have been apart of our cake to begin with. After going back and for with him, he kept saying we were harassing him when it was just a simple customer service situation. He then proceeded to ignore us and when my friend’s boyfriend showed up he said he would not be dealing with me and only him because I was immature. We ended up leaving without a cake because he was not being reasonable and kept arguing with us. Honestly don’t waste your time coming here, the cakes don’t look good, the customer service is nonexistent and they are overpriced.

Pakke canada walei the cake is the one he gives us … nd picture is the one they posted on website…. I mean seriously how u can call urself a baker … just spoiled the full mood …. Highly not recommended place … its looking like some untrained person or child gives the cake ….. Taste of choclate is not up to mark it smell weird …. I just want to ask does ur cake look perfect if u call ur self a baker … costlycake I ordered pick up from Scarborough location nd they changed the pick up to woodbridge location … Time nd money wastage on this bakery

My experience with Irresistible Cakes was incredibly unprofessional. Alex who works at the Woodbridge location was unbelievably rude and lacked basic customer service. To deal with horrible customer service is one thing, but to receive a cake that looked NOTHING like the image I shared with Alex is unacceptable. I asked for a cake for my sister's gender reveal. I provided them with a photo and specific details. I picked the cake up on the day of the event and to say I was shocked would be an understatement. When I opened the box, it looked like something an amateur baker would make. The piping was so poorly done, I couldn't imagine people coming here for WEDDING cakes. I was horrified, when I told Alex that I was not satisfied, he told me the cake looked good and he dismissed me right away. He then proceeded to tell me he was hungry and walked away. The receptionist who was really sweet felt so bad and asked him to come back out to deal with the issue. He refused to provide me with the contact of the manager. Because the cake contained the gender of my sister's baby, I was left with no option but to take the cake. I went to another bakery to attempt to salvage the disaster and they were shocked that someone professional made my cake. They dealt with me so professionally and somehow managed to conceal the mess Irresistible Cakes tried to pass off as decoration. My cake was almost a 100 dollars and the buttercream used did not taste good. The secondary bakery I went to said the cream they used was not good quality. The quality of the cake was really cheap. Please avoid the headache and disappointment, do NOT trust this place with your special occasions. Update: manager refused to issue a refund unless I took down my review. They are dishonest and unprofessional.
