Art's Corner Cafe

This is a cute neighborhood restaurant frequented by locals, but friendly to tourists. Our server was charming and hilarious constantly joking with us like we were regulars. We were served coffee quickly as we sat down and given time to choose from the menu. We ordered the corner cakes, pancakes with berries, pecans, and bananas, and the western omelette with American cheese. As you can tell from the photo, the omelette was more like scrambled eggs than an omelette but it was yummy. The eggs were cooked on a griddle so they had crispy edges and a little dry. It came with a side so I chose biscuits and gravy, but the gravy was bland. I'd recommend getting toast instead. The corner cakes were thin and definitely special to Art's Corner Cafe. Out of all of our dishes, corner cakes was the best. The sausage and hash browns were great, too.

5/15/22: food is still delicious, coffee is still delicious. My son got a lemonade this time and it was tasty. Update on the hot chocolate and chocolate milk: only 1 refill now. Our server was on point and friendly . The carpet looked cleaner than last time. Still recommend. Went again recently, 3/8/21, and still delicious. You have to try the thin pancakes and bacon 🥓🥞. Got hot chocolate and there were refills. Coffee and soda have refills, of course. The only downfall I can say is that the carpet is dirty, it really needs to be deep cleaned. Overall, the food is a must try! This was our first time here and it was delicious! Coffee was excellent, pancakes were huge and the kids plates were big! There are chocolate milk refills which is a huge plus because many places do not give chocolate milk refills. However, the biscuits and gravy were very plain. They had no taste at all. I did not expect them to be so dull because everything was great. Overall, I will go back soon.
