We were traveling thru town and stopped for a quick prickley pear margarita...because we read they have happy hour all day on M & T! Bartender greeted us and took our order even though it was 10 minutes before closing! How kind he was with his shift so close to ending. We enjoyed a second round and a quesadilla before leaving. Both the bartender and the welcoming manager made our quick stop a great one!!!

Last time was great but the man demanded a tip! We had been discussing it between us and figuring what tip should we give. This time we had great service from another guy! Food is good per usual.

While traveling home from San Marcos we were looking for a good Mexican restaurant so we googled reviews and decided on La Fiesta. This place did not disappoint!! Food was great and the selection was large. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. Atmosphere was very nice. We will be back!!

Upon arrival we were seated immediately! The server greated or table with a smile and urgency. Laurie was very nice and did an amazing job taking and bringing our orders. Definitely need more workers like her!!. Food was also fresh, hot, and brought out in a timely manner. THANKS Laurie and kitchen staff!!

We visited here on Saturday February 26 around 2pm. I'm big on customer service as i am in that industry. With that being said the girl that "greeted" us at the door NEVER made eye contact. She was looking down when we entered the establishment and spoke to us without eye contact. She sat us without eye contact. Very strange. Our waitress was great. Very pleasant, great personality, and helpful. Food: on a scale of 1 to 10 maybe a 6 or 7. My rice for my dish was crunchy and the chicken was a bit dry. The drinks we ordered were very strong with alcohol. We ordered a Mexican martini and a jumbo Rita. Salsa was very good. My son said his fish tacos were very good. With costs going up, prices go up. I get that. But service and food quality should go up as well. I dropped $100 on $40 worth of food and service in my opinion. Hopefully these issues get addressed.

My cousin being a very valuable customer was very disappointed today with his experience. He ordered a frozen margarita and as soon as he touched the glass it completely shattered in his hand cutting 2 of his fingers. And they still charged him for his whole ticket. Didn't offer him anything for the inconvenience but 2 band aids. La Fiesta this is unacceptable. And it makes no sense what so ever. Smh.

I first ate at La Fiesta in 1971, eating there a lot the next 4 years while attending Baylor. The food was amazing, the salsa was very hot and unique. Having married a woman from Waco years later, I continued to eat at La Fiesta every time I went to Waco. To me, it was the standard for cheese enchiladas. I would buy salsa and get an enchilada dinner to go when leaving town. Well, it became a huge success evidenced by expansion and really cool decor. Monday I was very sad because my 50 year loyalty is done. I ordered cheese enchiladas and inside was process cheese... the only real cheese was sprinkled on top. It's really too bad the current generation decided to lower the quality of the food. I bet the founder would be sick if he knew the quality is gone. The chili gravy was still good. Nothing special about the charro beans. The rice was bland. I live in Baytown. I actual did a typical detour on the way back from Plainview just to go to La Fiesta. I won't be doing that anymore. Sad, really sad. The salsa was made from chunky canned tomatoes. Very sad also. It was bland and not at all hot. I really loved the founder's recipes, including that for the salsa. Now the restaurant is flashy at the expense of quality. The end of a tradition. La Fiesta, please let me know if you come to your senses and start serving, again, the food that made you famous.

We used their catering service for our daughter's wedding and could not have been more satisfied! The food was amazing and we received so many compliments on it. The catering staff was also great and very helpful. Overall, it could not have gone better. 10/10
