J-petal & Poke Waco

I’m in love! me and my family were in Waco and we were looking for a dinner place when we came across this place. When we came in they immediately greeted us and took our order, the food took a bit longer than we thought but that is expected since they were low staffed. When we got our food it was great my whole family got the bowls and everybody loved it, my one complaint is that they did not put enough sauce on our food but I believe that is most likely because they were quite busy. After we ordered the rolled ice cream for dessert and sat outside for that and it was amazing! Next time we are down here in Waco we are definitely coming back!:) - Lauren ;)

The local has high ceilings and decoration is fresh. I think this is the place for a casual meal or a dessert . I ordered the signature poke shrimp with spicy crab. They asked me to choose between white and brown rice. Presentation was nice, and it was tasty. To drink I got a light bulb strawberry mojito. It was pretty, but it was too sweet for me. Next time I would like to try “the crepes. It is attractive for me that they are gluten free.

I like this joint. Very customizable Poke bowls with fast, friendly service and an airy environment with plenty of sunshine. I had the Hawaiian Classic with Spicy Tuna and the ingredients were fresh and everything worked well together. They offer tons of customization and have tons of options. -Petal & Poke is good and good for you!

Well came in to this place expecting a boring poke place with strange smells, but to my surprise everything was delicious and quite unique, thou the strange spice smell was still there. Not too much was invested in making this place cozy but a lot of thought to make it kid(toddler) friendly. Small chairs for children and planty room to come in with a stroller. Ice cream monkey business was a must to try for me ;) it was nice. So if one of you is looking for a healthy poke and other wants a sweet crepe(sweet thin pankake) well this is it.
