Jerk N Jollof

Good food, you can tell the yard food is good by a old school back ah yard cook, you can taste the fresh coconut in the rice and peas. The jerk chicken is tender and not dry. The Suya leaves you wanting more. If I had to recommend anything’ which is hard to do because everything is good’… the mixed grill.

Yesterday I tried naturally keto friendly pepper soup at the fusion restaurant Jerk n Jollof. It was amazing. It had me coughing and my nose running intermittently which I loved. These are signs that it's the right level of spiciness :) It was so spicy that I felt light headed afterwards :) and it reminded me of Ben Okri's descriptions of it in The Famished Road as a meal that gives sustenance :) I own a sous vide, which allows me to cook meat to perfection. The meat in the soup was already cooked to perfection. The jerk lamb chops were spectacular too. I'm going to have to go back and try much more on the menu :)

What a little gem this place is. I went their with my family on 31st August for the last day of eat out to help out. The food was amazing and our plates were clean. Fresh, tasty and the BEST Mac N Cheese I have ever eaten in my life (and its my favourite dish so i eat it weekly). Customer for life now, and with the great customer service, I defiantly be returning for a family treat and takeaway.
