Mei Jing Chinese Restaurant

Staff very friendly and good banter. Food very good Decor is a bit overwhelming to be honest, carpet very dirty and thread bare, decorations dusty and ceiling shocking I would suggest updating and simplifying menu, clean up a little and go back to basics, has potential to be a great restaurant Location is not good as nany other restaurants have failed here, the fact they are still here shows that is not too bad

If you want to wait 2 hours for entrees to come out ... UNCOOKED!! Then this is the perfect place for you ... Food is overpriced and terrible! We constantly had to ask where the food was to be told "it's coming" ... Staff do not care and have bad attitudes, especially the manager. Unfortunately, my family member had severe food poisoning after and had to be taken to the emergency. When calling the restaurant to advise them of this, we received "I've served 700 people tonight and you're the only one". How a manager can have this attitude to finding out someone is on their way to the emergency is mind-blowing!!! WISH WE HAD OF READ REVIEWS BEFORE GOING THERE!

Went here for lunch and yumcha to give this place a try ...nearly died at the price for a plate of combination stir fry noodles...$37.50! Had a few pieces of seafood in it, but way overpriced. We had a few other dishes for yum cha and it came to over $100 ! The usual place we go to (across from the Knox club) for the same amount of food, is way cheaper...Can't say we'll be coming back here again

It takes a lot for me to complain but this would have to have been the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I took my elderly parents out for Mothers Day dinner. The booking was for 7:30. We received our entrees at 8:45. That’s 1 hr and 15 mins before we had anything to eat. Even then, they forgot to fill some of the entree orders and other dishes were uncooked and had to be sent back. Worse was yet to come, we were served our accompanying fried rice for our main meals but then had to wait another 20 mins before our main meals came out, leaving the fried rice to go cold. After our mains were almost finished, they remembered our missing entree dishes and bought that out. Apart from the woeful service, the meal was flavourless and not appetising. I wish I had read the reviews prior to attending to this restaurant. I spoke to the manager and advised him of our terrible experience before posting this cautionary tale for others.
