El Jimador

Was a regular for many, many, many years. The last 2 years off and on have been a disappointment for pricing, quality and customer service- ALL of this before COVID. Our family hasn't been back in over a year after rude management and staff. Last week I was with a group and went for dinner and drinks-not my choice. We were seated and I asked the waiter-older man..if there were any drinks specials and he said "did you look at the board in the front" I replied. " I didn't" He rolled his eyes and said "well" and mumbled something. Our table was in shock, I went ahead and ordered a drink, he never told us any specials. My friend got up and looked at the specials. The food was good , we paid and as normal, No thank you, how was everything, etc After talking to some people, I am happy it wasn't just myself feeling this way. I get its a stressful time in the restaurant business, but at the end of the day, I am a customer who is paying. I will never go back there again, It's so sad..Our family had a lot of memories there! Finally, double check your tickets, the prices are different at times..who notices $3-5 on a $50-$60 bill...Not me..but after someone points it out and shows me a picture of their different tickets...interesting..i can't read Spanish and the description isn't on the receipt! BEWARE !

I have been to this place a couple times now and the service is always pretty good the salsa and chips they give with every meal are very fresh but I believe the salsa could be a little bit more spicy as it's very very mild on the time that I've been here we've ordered many different things and the food has always been very excellent especially there grilled chicken tacos however I believe the proportions are very small compared to most other Mexican restaurants as well as I believe their tacos are little high-priced at $7 for one chicken taco I think is a little much other than that the food is fantastic

Good food. Average priced. Fun decorations. Looked clean inside, didn't use restroom so don't know about that. Afternoon was slower midweek, food was good. Salsa delicious. Giving 5 stars for the food and restaurant, 1 star for the server who didn't check on us once. No refill on water, or chips. Only at the end to give us the check. I will return, but hopefully service will be better next time.
