Tailors Restaurant

Exceptional food and service at Tailors. Booking is essential but worth keeping an eye out for last minute cancellations too to secure a table. Mark and his staff were brilliant, very knowledgable about the food, wine, and tasting menu. We had an excellent time and the food just absolutely phenomenal. This is the best tasting menu I’ve ever had, and our whole evening was very memorable.

The tasting menu with wine flight was amazing. All the dishes were very good and the pairing was perfect. I particularly enjoyed the "it's not a beef burger" dish. It felt like the perfect match between comfort food and finesse. The wine that came with it was very aromatic and fruity. Great restaurant with a historic theme in an old Tailors Shop.

Every single dish was a mouth full of flavour! You can tell a lot of care goes in to every plate. I would recommend the wine flight as every glass was delicious and accompanied the food perfectly, with knowledge from (Dan?) as to why it was chosen. Lovely little place with a nice ambience. Definitely recommend. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos as I was too busy in the moment stuffing my face :-)

Oh wow. Our hotel restaurant was fully booked so we ended up at Tailors. How lucky were we? Mark and Dan served 6 absolute slices of heaven accompanied by 6 glasses of suitably devilish wines in perfect balance. When they call it a taster menu they actually mean a flavour menu. Every course both melts and explodes in your mouth. Clever guys and we’re now feeling very privileged to have been both fed and educated by them in such a sophisticated and friendly manner. Big shout out to Amy and Reuben in the kitchen. Every genius’ wheels need oiling, often by unsung heroes, but by what we have experienced tonight they are oiling them with an infusion of truffle oils. Thanks to all four of you. Can’t wait to return. The word ‘fine’ in fine dining is totally inadequate. ‘Exquisite’ would be more appropriate!

It's definitely a great place for food. Went here for my other half's birthday and it is special. Lots of food without ever feeling too much, which was great as it kept coming! Especially loved that it definitely wasn't the usual food that you get elsewhere. Every course felt interesting and tasty. I'm pretty sure I may have sneaked a lick of the plate... My one recommendation is not to go for the full flight of wine mind, not that it's not enjoyable, just that you may not remember the last course! Recommend getting the half flight or a lovely bottle and then you can keep the memories a little more lucid.

We were lucky enough to visit Tailors on Saturday evening for what can only be described as an absolutely faultless experience. From start to finish the whole team were professional, welcoming and knowledgeable and showed a big passion for the food and drink they were serving. Two of our guests has dietary requirements including a nut allergy which they dealt with perfectly. We had 6 courses of outstandingly high quality food with paired wines . Every course was carefully thought out and together created a really special culinary experience. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We have visited on many occasions but I can honestly say the level of food they are producing has just got better and better. Please support this local gem, we are so lucky to have it!
