LOVED this little cafe! The atmosphere is so cozy, as it is tucked away in a little courtyard. The coffee was great, I got a lavender latte, and my husband got an espresso. We were both very happy with our morning coffee. I would suggest getting there early as it seems to be a popular neighborhood hangout.

Stopped by one weekday morning to catch up with an old friend and this was the perfect place to do it. Loved the space and how relaxed the environment was. Here are some of my thoughts: Environment I really loved the space - it was very chill and relaxed. Plenty of space inside to sit and relax whether it be hanging out with friends, catching up on work or reading a good book - there are plenty of places to tuck a way and make it your own experience. The vibe is chill, warm and welcoming. It's somewhat tucked underground but still has great natural light that adds to it's charm. I loved that there was also options for outside seating - which is great on a nice day and where me and my friend decided to sit. It was fairly empty at the time that I went so not sure what its like on busy days but i can imagine that it can fill up quickly. Service The service was great and fairly quick. You order at the counter and then they will make your order and call you when it's ready like many coffee shops. Friendly barista and staff that were very accommodating. Food and Drinks I only had a mocha that was pretty good and would definitely go back to try other things off the menu. Overall Perfect place to relax and grab a coffee or a snack with a friend or for a break at work or just to catch up on news or read a good book. Ambiance was relaxed and chill with good warm welcoming energy. I would add this to the list of places I would go to for a good coffee and talk.

Best coffee shop in DC. Used to go there on the daily. They serve Counter Culture coffee in a wide variety of drinks, and do it the right way. Grab-n-go coffee, dine-in breakfast or a quick lunch, can do all that here. They have 2 bars inside and the mood changes after 5pm from a day coffee shop with people working to a hangout spot with a wide drinks and cocktails selection. Good music playing all the time. The servers and staff changed a bunch recently but overall, they know the menu and have good service. The egg and cheese sandwich on brioche is fantastic. They have 2 or so salad options. But the tomato soup with cheese sandwich definitely stands out. They did $1 coffee refills, make sure to ask. Great ambience, great coffee, and a great way to connect with a local place that's very welcoming.

They are really strict about needing to order something every hour to sit here so definitely for quick bites/sending a few emails during the day as, in my experience, that time started from the moment you sat down so including waiting for your food, it can pass pretty quickly. That being said, they were nice and helpful (when following the rules), wifi was pretty good but had a breakfast burrito that wasn’t very flavorful and it can get pretty loud.

A great place to chill, meet friends, or to work from. Offer both outdoor sitting and indoors, with indoors spread wide open and options ranging from bar sitting to couch or just tables. Usually frequented by youngsters who study/work out of the establishment. We spent a good amount of our afternoon there last Friday and enjoyed sitting my bar in the back side. Got us an avocado toast, breakfast burrito, cold brew and cappuccino - they were all really good. I like the concept of a piece of dark chocolate on the side of a cappuccino. The servers were sweet. I’ll recommend this anyone who is visiting DC or plans to work for sometime from DuPont circle area. Enjoy!

This café has been on my list for a while now as a study spot since they are open late and have free WiFi. I visited for their breakfast menu which looked quite appetizing online. Walking in the hostess directed us to choose our own seats and told us that a server would be with us shortly. About 10 minutes went by without anyone bringing us menus so I had to walk back to the front and ask for some. It was rather busy so it was understandable why we may have been overlooked. There were many young professionals seated with laptops and there were a couple of groups that looked like they were having business meetings. The coffee we ordered was well made and presented. I was surprised to see that most of the breakfast options were vegetarian, the portion sizes were also rather healthy. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I stumbled upon this cute cafe while I had an hour to kill and wanted to get some work done! It’s such a great place, and I’ll certainly come back next time I’m in the area. I ordered a matcha latte, came in a sizable cup and wasn’t overly sweetened as matcha can sometime be. The price was surprisingly reasonable for such large cup. Cafe also provides WiFi as expected, making work easier
