5's across the board!! My husband rented the Igloo for my birthday dinner. This was such a delightful and romantic experience. The igloo was beautifully decorated and cozy. The service, atmosphere, and food were perfection. The food service was perfectly orchestrated that as soon as we finished a dish the next few came out. Everything we ate....we thoroughly enjoyed. The real MVP is the baked Alaska dessert. Simply divine!!

We went here to have apps and drinks to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was perfect!!! The ambiance is…. Haha I’m not sure how to describe it but it was fascinating and chic. They have a fantastic happy hour, and the apps and drinks we got were delicious. The staff were all helpful and were there as soon as we needed anything. We loved it and will definitely be back!

I visited the day after thanksgiving and dined in the beautiful igloos on the rooftop. The ambiance was unmatched. The igloos were cozy with heaters, comfortable seating, and a Bluetooth speaker. The food and drinks were also very delicious. Booking this experience can be expensive depending on your budget but well worth it. You will not leave hungry. The staff were also very attentive and pleasant.

This is not a Paid Review…. When I say PHENOMENAL … that’s an understatement!! I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing La Vie twice for Bottomless Brunch to celebrate birthdays … and Each time it’s Amazing!! Yes, it is Pricey… but for the Amount of food and the Quality of Food… worth Every Penny!!! The Service is Amazing, they are Prompt, Knowledgeable and extremely Professional. Because of the style of cuisine, there’s options for EVERYONE, and because I’m plant based (a lil flexible when im dining out, just so I can experience the Experience…) there’s PLENTY for me to Eat!!!! I’ve only ever sat in the “garden patio” and the Views are breathtaking, it doesn’t feel crowded, you can enjoy your company without feeling crammed! Definitely My Go too for Brunch, when I’m feeling Fancy!!

The thoughtful addition of space heaters and blankets provided warmth and comfort, allowing us to enjoy the breathtaking views in total coziness. One of the highlights of the evening was the personal Bluetooth speaker in our igloo, which let us set our own musical backdrop, adding a personal touch to our special night. The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. The salmon and lamb chops were cooked to perfection, with flavors that tantalized the palate. And the lavender lemonade was a delightful surprise - its unique taste perfectly complementing the meal and enhancing the overall dining experience. Service at the Penthouse at La Vie was phenomenal. The staff were not just professional, but genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our evening was taken care of. I highly recommend the Penthouse at La Vie for those seeking an extraordinary dining experience with a spectacular view. It’s an ideal spot for special occasions or a memorable evening out. I went with a group of women to celebrate our friend's birthday. We attended a weekend brunch! All of the food is pretty delicious. The drinks are pretty aesthetic as well. The hosts and servers were phenomenal. This is a great place for a special occasion. It is a tad pricey but worthwhile for the experience. My friend was elated the entire time for her birthday, so I highly recommend going to this place to celebrate special occasions!

Dined here on Tuesday evening for a birthday celebration before catching a show at the Anthem next door. This place is pricey but well worth it in my opinion. Creative cocktails, delicious food, and attentive service. The scallops, salmon, and kafta were phenomenal. We will certainly be recommending La Vie to friends looking for a nice dinner on the Wharf. The view from the dining room is another huge plus!

My boyfriend and I were on vacation and were looking for more than just a good meal, we were looking for a full dining experience and we most definitely got that at La Vie. We were able to sit outside on their terrace dining area, but both inside and outside are beautifully decorated and have amazing views of The Wharf. The pictures will speak for themselves! The service was amazing, our waiter was Will and he was fantastic! Very funny, attentive, and my boyfriend was able to communicate in both English and Spanish with him no problem. All of the waiters were very friendly and the whole place had a great, fun, but high end vibe. We’re not used to fine dining considering we’re college students, so the fact that at La Vie they wait on you for every little thing was very interesting to experience! They’ll even come and wipe down your table for you after each course! The food was excellent. We had the Kafta as one of our appetizer and it was some of the best and most tender lamb I’ve ever had. For dinner I had the Lobster Risotto which was also delicious, I just think it had a little too much sauce for my personal taste but that’s just me being nit picky. For dessert they brought out a complimentary cheese cake brownie with a cute sparkler on top! Great food, great views, great drinks, great service, and a full dining experience! Just expect to spend at least $200 here between the food prices, the gratuity tax, surcharge, and DC state tax.
