A wonderful place to perform! The crowd was very awesome and receptive. The staff was nice and courteous. Very clean bathrooms. One of the cleanest bars I've ever seen. Their attention to the details rates them 100%. I love that fact. Ok what are you waiting for? Go to Smith Public Trust. Drink responsibly have a blast. The Pretty Bois Open Drag King Night Show was a really delicious show, at a great venu. Fun, fun and more fun.

This is a super reliable spot to pop into if you're in the neighborhood! Everyone working here is really nice and makes you feel welcome to the neighborhood, which is cool because you can tell this place has a lot of regulars. The food is just okay but there's a good beer selection and lots of room for larger groups.

I've been here a few times, but the last visit prompted me to write this review. My mom was visiting, got into town late, so we were hungry but weren't looking for a huge meal. We shared the portabella mushroom sliders, onion rings, and shrimp and grits. All had Fantastic flavor. Smith Public Trust has figured out how to make small plates satisfying. And as others have said, they have a great local draft beer selection. It's not a complaint, but be forewarned, it's a loud atmosphere. I think it's just the open architecture, but it's not a place to have an intimate conversation.

Amazing venue that's great for hosting events. During warmer temperatures there us a back outdoor patio and a back bar as well. The food is pretty good and the Public Trust burger is always a good go to. If you're in the Brookland neighborhood, definitely stop by Smith Public Trust and have a drink and some food!

I came in to see some afternoon live music. The bartender let me sit at the bar drinking water while the bands set up, and I picked out a college football game on one of the TVs. They were good to host the event; I could tell that one party wasn't happy about the loud music, but the staff did their best to accommodate them.
