This has become our go to spot for Chinese food in NE DC. Fantastic menu options, great prices/portion sizes, and always delivered piping hot. Can't rave enough about this hidden gem.

to this DAY!! the food fresh cooked well & with care. i had spicy soup for my cold, fresh vegetables cut bite size. chicken dishes w/noodles great, beef tinder & tasty with scallops.. Seasoned just right.

I recently ordered takeout from Tsim Yung Chinese Carry Out, and I was pleasantly surprised. I usually don't order from here too often because the fried rice wasn't my favorite, but this time I had the fried chicken with fried rice and shrimp lo mein and it was delicious. I believe they changed the recipe for the fried rice and it was so much better than before. The lo mein was also really good. Keep up the good work!

This is our favorite delivery food. The food is amazing and has good flavor. We always get the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and the steamed dumplings. The portions are huge so we are able to get two meals out of it. The service is fast and the staff are always friendly.

Just discovered this place and I will definitely order again! HUGE portions for the price - I was honestly shocked at how much food I got - I was eating leftovers for days. Would be perfect for ordering with a group when everyone is super hungry.

I recently moved to DC and I have ordered 2 times here for delivery. The experience have been great. Good food and nice service.
My mother loves their lo mein (only broccoli) and we have ordered their pepper steak, kung pow chicken, sweet and sour pork, and shrimps in lobster sauce all of them in combo with combination rice, which reminded me a little bit of how it is served in Puerto Rico' Chinese fast food restaurants (the only thing to mention that may improve is to serve the shrimps in lobster sauce separated from the rice so it doesn't get to wet. I like it that way but my family don't). Ohhhhh... and their egg rolls are awesome!!!
PD: On 2013 I lived here in DC for 6 months in the Cardozo area and other Chinese restaurants on that area are actually really mediocre when compared to Tsim Yung.

One of my Brookland favorites, this place is delicious, quick, and filling! Portions are nice sizes, the food is always ready in 20 minutes or less, and prices are good! We always have leftovers for the next day. I love ordering from here!
