Best tofu in town! Excellent vegan and omnivorous selection. I highly recommend the Szechuan Style Bean Curd (vegan but so satisfying for many palates). Many people I’ve eaten this with have said it’s the best tofu they’ve ever had! I super appreciate that the broccoli/veg is never overcooked; it’s still vibrant with a bit of snap. The portions are balanced; the ratio of veg to protein to rice makes for a healthy meal. In terms of size, you can choose a pint or a quart. Pint is a perfect meal for one, a quart is a steal for someone with a big appetite or someone who wants leftovers (you will!). The restaurant itself is a “hole in the wall”, but don’t let it’s unassuming exterior fool you. It serves fantastic food, and the carry out service is excellent - speedy (not suspiciously speedy) with helpful staff that always have your order ready on time. The one thing to note is there is not much indoor seating - so, a great carryout or delivery destination!

Everything was delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine, not the often Urban flair some "popular" places provide. The service was good and timely. I was handed my purchase at the side door from the young son, at same time the husband/older gentleman was returning from a delivery. I said "thank you" to the son, he did not utter a word. His father/older gentleman silently coached him and the young lad shouted--"your welcome, thank you!" So the food was delicious and the son's lesson was hopefully learned.

First time here. I usually bypass and go to Rhode Island Express but they have since closed so I decided to try them today. Food was ok but kind of pricey to be a “lunch special “. I got shrimp and broccoli lunch special for $8.85. No can soda.. No egg roll just fried rice. When I mentioned I thought you said this was a lunch specifical she said the regular price is $10.80! I paid but I was disappointed!! The shrimp was coated, the broccoli was really hard, and the rice wasn’t fresh!

The chicken wings are fried perfectly!!...I was just disappointed that the mambo sauce is horrible. The portions are smaller than other DC carryouts. The place could use a facelift. As much business as they get your building and decor should be a lot better. Customer service was good.

It is cheap quality food for 15 dollars average price. I am from the south so chinese runs 6ish for lunch. The lunch special here is still 10 dollars and does not have fried rice. They provide white rice with soy souce not egg, scallions or meat in the rice. I tried the fried shrimp and it was the cheap kind with mostly breading. I was expecting salt pepper shrimp which is fresh shrimp lightly pan fried. I then tried the spare ribs in which the meat was tough and had a thin sauce which was not flavorful. Chicken wings are fried hard and can hurt your tooth. The Honey BBQ wings are delcious just hard skin and Buffalo wings are delicious with soft skin. Egg foo young has a very thick gravy the eggs were not seasoned just doused with gravy. I also tried the combination rice noodles. This again had no flavor they literally just placed curry powder on the noodles and called it a day. The portion sizes are small for lunch and even the small size for a chinse take out. I would not reccommend andn am shocked it has decent reviews. I will say most of these people probably never left the area. They are accurate it is chinese american food only. Chinese american has better flavor and more meat and this place is lacking on both.

Excellent Chinese carry out spot. The general tsao spicy tofu is super good 😋. A small will have you set for lunch/dinner and a large will last you two days. For people trying to eat healthier the general Tsao spicy Tofu is an excellent start for those trying to watch what they're eating. While still being able to enjoy the amazing flavors and taste of Big China's signature dish.
