Highway 63 Diner

We tried the breaded fish dinner as well as the half hot beef. I decided to try the corn casserole with my hot beef and it was delicious! The breaded fish dinner came with family style lettuce salad that they refilled if you needed. I would definitely recommend highway 63 diner and Waterloo if you're ever in the area.

Highway 63 diner in Waterloo was recommended to me by a resident. I tried the half order of fried pickles, the breaded pork loin with sweet potato fries and a piece of cheesecake. They were all very good and I would recommend this place as the prices are very good as well. At 1st, I wasn't impressed by the attitude of the waiter but after a few minutes, things got better and I had great service. The people were friendly and polite but the food and prices are reason enough to go.

We need more stars!! The food and staff was shamazing!!! Long post warning.... 😉 We live in CR and wanted to find a diner, drive in or dive, and boy, did we ever!!! I had the bacon wrapped pork chops, my fiancee had the boasted chicken, both were fantastic. We got sides, a roll, and a side salad with homemade dressing that they also bottle and sell. So of course we bought 2 of those, ranch and a western type! 😋 Our waitress was so cool, we got there about 45 minutes before closing. We were not done by closing. She let us stay so we could enjoy the meal, the great conversation we had with her while she was doing her closing duties, and the ambiance. I only have one issue: They aren't closer to CR, so I could go more often!! 😆 When gas prices come down, we'll be there more often, but they definitely made our top 5 favorite restaurants!! THANK YOU for an AMAZING experience!!

The price was very affordable. The staff was friendly enough. The food was standard and decent, nothing to rave about. The floor was dirty when we were there, but I guess they were short-staffed. My parents love the place. It's not gourmet and doesn't try to be. If you're looking for comfort food Americana style and reasonable price, this is a solid choice.
