Honey Garden

One of the very few things I miss about urban living is finding restaurants that can be described as hidden gem's. Honey Garden might not be exactly a gem but, it is hidden. Don't get me wrong, the gyro I had for lunch was very good. The service was good, prices were very reasonable and the place seemed very clean. I will have to come back to try the rest of a very interesting menu that includes, typical American, authentic Greek and Indian food. My only complaint is that the place was very cold. I'm never cold. So we'll see.

I have been there twice and got their gyro supreme both times and loved it. I thought service was inconsistent because restaurant was almost empty both times I waited quite a while for the food the second time I went. They also have Indian food menu and I wanted to try few more things before writing a review but I guess I will write an updated review whenever that happens.

This restaurant gave a decent amount of food for the price. The staff were extremely friendly. The steak is a very thin cut, but well prepared. The salads have an insane amount of cheese shreds on top. Inside the restaurant was very clean and freshly painted. The two people I saw working were masked. Certain tables are marked as closed for social distancing. A posterboard sign saying masks are required is on the front door. I was unable to see into the kitchen, so I don't know how clean the back is. The floor in the customer are was very, very sticky... like when you wipe up spilled soda but don't wash it with soap.

We have been eating here for years. Our last order that we order through eatstreet.com has so much crunch in every other bite it was very unsettling, and you had to pick it out. We couldn't decide if it was the rice or some spice they used. I hit one piece that I thought I chipped my tooth, and this was the Chicken Biryani that shouldn't have anything crunchy. After about four bites with each of our dishes, we tossed everything out; it just wasn't worth the bad taste. It was the worst food we ever had from this place.

WANTING DIFFERENT - BUT PLEASANTLY SURPRISED I'm originally from Dallas. A big city with diverse taste and style. So, when I was in the mood for Mediterranean, I had in mind a certain type of setting and it be prepared a certain way. Not the case here. I was ready to give this place a 2 to 3 stars at best. Then, I decided to take it in for what it is and go from there. A clean and quiet place around mid-day on a Wednesday. People at 2 other tables so it wasn't crowded and service was on point and friendly. I asked for recommendations and landed on the Mediterranean Plate. It had lamb, grilled veggies, onions, tomatoes and a buttery type of rice mixed with egg. Didn't expect that, but it tied it all together that was ooooh-so-good! I'll be ordering that again. They serve wine and beer but I washed it all down with Coke. One of the BEST $12.95 I'VE SPENT FOR LUNCH IN A LONG TIME!

This was a good place to go for tenderloins. The portions were large and with both the sandwich and fries you never went away hungry. Went back a month ago and on the door it said temporarily closed until further notice. Was disappointed as I was looking forward to another tenderloin. The place is permanently closed. The sign has been removed above the place.

I ordered the kids chicken strips, calamari, a salad and the trio sampler of Greek dips and pita bread. Togo, called it in. I thought is was all very very good, the server was sweet and personable. The food was ready and hot to go. The only improvements I would ask is the packaging. Styrofoam and plastic bags are not in alignment with responsible environmental policies. But also the kids meal barely fit the container and the app dips were all on one styrofoam, it didt blend, but still.... why wouldn’t you put them in sauce containers? Prices were fair, environment was odd/ white retired people singing hip hop karaoke- poorly. Super weird kinda funny. I didn’t mean to laugh but I couldn’t help it.

Awesome food and honest service (which is super rare) waitress helped us order and was understanding of our food allergies. They have american food options so there's something fit everyone! I'm definitely bringing friends there. The hummus and baklava are amazing. We were all groaning and undoing our belts :D
