Carlos O'kelly's Mexican Cafe

We ordered through door dash. Order was placed at 4:08. We got a notification that our driver was at the restaurant and should be here between 4:35 and 4:45. At 5:17 I called the restaurant to find out what was going on with the order. The woman told us that the ticket said the order was to be ready for the driver at 5:01. Driver was there..food was there and it was 5:23 now. She went on to say that they had an order for 25 people that they needed to work on. When our food arrived it was cold, some food items were burnt, wrong items and not made with certain items on the side as requested. We ordered Huevos Mexicanos, which we did not get. Instead we received another egg dish. We ordered the burrito grande with carnitas and guacamole on the side. The burrito was filled with beans, rice, lettuce, guacamole and about a tablespoon of carnitas. The receipt literally said”double check this item”. The huevos con chorizos was burnt and had no tortilla. The tacos had been sitting so long that the bottom side down was complete mush. To top it all off everything was cold. Pics included. Terrible experience.

Worst food ever! BEWARE! NOTHING CAME AS ORDERED! ALL FOOD WAS COLD! At hotel, ordered $50 1. Grande Burrito had literally a spoon full of meat. Eggs and Chorizo looked like left overs with potatoes. Not as described...Have no clue what the eggs and tomato sauce was... 2. All food was cold. 3. Food was 1 hour late. 4. Hostess said a party of 25 in dining room took priority before delivery. 5. All 5 items were not what we ordered! DOOR DASH REFUNDED COMPLETE ORDER. SENT PICS. THIS PLACE IS Disgusting

I was a frequent customer but never again will I step foot in amigos Waterloo. Tonight while eating my 4 year old niece accidentally bumped our PLASTIC margarita glass on the floor & it broke. Never once did the “owner” come & ask us to pay for it. But we got our bill & there was a $9.00 gift certificate charge. NINE DOLLARS is what he wanted to charge the customer for the plastic cup!! He then continued to argue with my sister in front of the whole restaurant. Our sweet server offered to pay for it but we refused to let her. We then wanted to make sure she got our tip & gave it directly to her. And said sorry we will never be back. And he then proceeded to come up to us & say “I took it off your bill why bring her back into it.” My sister said we just wanted to let her know she did a great job & get her tip. He THEN wanted to continue to argue about paying for your accidents!!! The owner made a 4 YEAR OLD CRY! I would give them 0 stars but I can’t. Also, he failed his health inspection. BEWARE!

Well we got seated right away. But then was put in a corner and no one seemed to know who our waitress was going to be. We waited at least 15 mins before someone even came to greet us and ask us what we wanted to drink. We were informed the drink menu was online and that I had to scan a qr code to get it. Ok we order drinks only to find out that my husband's drink a Sangria they were out of. After 15 more minutes if waiting for our drinks. Didn't apologize or ask us if we wanted anything different didn't even offer a drink menu to compensate and help pick a different drink. Nothing. We were waiting and waiting finally it seemed like forever but a nice older lady asked if everything was good and if we needed anything I said yes a drink menu and our waitress. Still didn't see our waitress for another 10 mins. It was the worst service ever. And then when we got our food my husband was brought his fajitas without his tortilla shells the pot holder to his plate was disgusting. Like at least give us a clean pot holder. I am so disappointed in the service we will not be going back. What a mess we were at the resturants for almost 2 HOURS during peak dinner time you would think they would want to get us in and out. Nope not the case.
