Gallagher's Restaurant

Who was voted Best Fried Chicken in St. Louis, 2015, '16 and '17 by the Post-Dispatch? It will come as a surprise -- Gallagher's in Waterloo, IL. I'm no chicken connoisseur, but it's quite good, as is their amazing garlic burger. Very pleasant decor, nice bar, and cheerful staff. Nice afternoon outing from St. Louis.

We arrived before the lunch crowd did so it wasn't very crowded . We sat at the bar the bartender was great . Very helpful in suggesting her menu favorites. I had the signature burger . Very good . Burger was seasoned very well if not aggresive for some . The fries were blah . Soggy potatoes without much seasoning . My son had the candied bacon BLT. It was also very good . Lot of bread to bacon ration but still good . We also had the fried zucchini for an appetizer. It was also great and came in a larger than expected portion size .

Stumbled upon this place on a drive from STL. Awesome little spot. The wings and burgers are absolutely fantastic. Really cool Irish bar feel. Nothing close to a dive bar as there's a nice restaurant area too. We sat at the bar and had a great service. Lots of cool decorations and a great vibe makes this a sure fire return on our next trip down here.
