Yo-toppings

So I had to plan a quick birthday party for my mom who turned 72 and I wanted to do something DIFFERENT. I thought I had tasted everything from Yo-Toppings. I've had a Yo-Combo loaded beef frank and a frozen yogurt combo (yum), I've had dreamy signature flavors like the "Burtle" created by Jen (double yum), I've even had an Oreo fudge crunch frozen yogurt cake (nom nom nom)... but custom frozen yogurt CUPCAKES? Jen was so helpful giving me different flavor ideas - get ready to drool and find your insulin: Cheesecake yogurt with dark chocolate chips topped with raspberry and chocolate drizzled on top; Cake batter yogurt with marshmallow cream topped with cookie dough chunks and whipped cream; Chocolate yogurt topped with strawberries, truffles and cheesecake yogurt; and last but not least, Chocolate yogurt topped with marshmallow cream, Oreos, vanilla yogurt and whipped icing. I ordered 3 of each flavor and let everyone pick the kind they wanted - something special for everyone! I got so many compliments that evening for serving the perfect dessert to a perfect birthday evening, no one (including myself) had ever had anything quite like it before. And Jen made these cute labels for Nonna's birthday cupcakes. What a special touch that was :-) You can't go wrong with Yo-Toppings, just call and talk to Jen!

The space is a little tight and it got crowded right after we'd been through the line making things a little difficult getting out of there with two small children, but what a great addition to Waterloo! The frozen yogurt was all very good and there was quite a variety of toppings as well. We got 4 different cups and the total came out to $16. We were able to find seats on a comfy couch and watch the Cardinals game on the TV. The kids and adults all loved it and we can't wait to go back!
