Great and busy spot for some good food. They don't stay open for long but they don't need to. They have limited tables for two / four but if you have more or you're late then you'll have to share a large and long table for others but I think that's a plus! Very attentive staff coming around for refills or anything else that you need. They have limited outdoor seating in the back as well as a large shared parking lot in the back as well.

This Balkan restaurant is nothing but outstanding. The menu has lots of vegan and vegetarian options including tofu and plant-based "meat". The bread is freshly backed and thier house-made iced tea is something you should not miss. I visited this place in the past and it was excellent but now it is outstanding 😋😋😋

I had never tried Bulgarian food before, and this restaurant is right in our neighborhood, so we gave it a go. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the lahmacun with spicy beef, it was fantastic! My only complaint is that the portion was slightly on the small side, so I was still a little hungry afterward. No biggie, I just know I need to add a side or two next visit. And there will be a next visit, it's so good!

Tried Balkan for the first time on my visit to St. Louis. All I can say is WOW!! Food was 10/10, service absolutely wonderful and the overall atmosphere was just great. Had the beef Pide and the beef Lahmacun, would highly HIGHLY recommend. Their hummus and bread is also so good!! Will definitely visit again next time!

The line to order was to the back exit when we came today for lunch. I ordered #2, Pide with chicken and my daughter ordered #3, Doner, with chicken. When we were ordering he asked if we were dining in or carrying out. The restaurant was packed so he asked if we minded sitting at the long community table and we said no problem. We sat down and they brought our order to us. My Pide tasted better than I expected. The combination of the ingredients tasted incredible. I tried some of my daughters Doner and it was equally delicious. The side of chips with the Doner is as odd. I think a better side is a small cucumber and tomato salad. The staff were all very friendly. A staff person came by and refilled my daughter’s cup of water and they cleared our spot. There is a large public parking lot behind the building. I encourage everyone to experience this treat box.
