The Crab Shack

One of Welly’s best spots for casual, tasty seafood. It’s super close to TSB Arena and other entertainment venues. It’s also right by the water, which is one of Wellington’s best attributes. Their seafood is nice across the board, but they also have great hot wings, caesar salad, and burgers. The drink menu has a lot of tasty, creative drinks, and the dining room is spacious. It’s busy at dinner time and especially on the weekends so as with all Wellington restaurants, do try and make a reservation ahead of time.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly and amazing person (tall guy glasses and wearing a blazer) ordered the mussels and cocktails and the female looking after us was amazing friendly and able to have a yarn. She found out it was a birthday in our group of 4 so got a candle and a treat for her. The reason I'll be coming back is the service. Awesome

We just returned from a family dinner here and it was most excellent! Starting with Kieran finding us an excellent table and then Dee being the most delightful waitress anyone could imagine! She looked so well after us, made excellent suggestions and made us laugh so hard. We had the raw fish starter and then Cajun catch of the day for mains, both absolutely wonderful and paired with some great wine. Our 5 year old had the Cheeseburger, which I tried and found heavenly. It was also priced reasonably. Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience!
