Raffael's Cafe Bar & Grill

This cafe is conveniently located on a corner providing ample parking. When you walk into this place you feel a sense of warm, coziness and relaxing feel to the vibe. My partner and I ordered the Queen's Royale with smoked salmon, smashed avocado toastie with extra post eggs, potato wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce and 2 hot chocolates. The Queen's Royal with smoked salmon was ok. The poached eggs were over cooked and there was too much extra virgin olive oil to my liking. The smashed avocado was good and the poached eggs were runny. hot chocolates were delicious and the potato wedges were cooked to perfection. Overall a good experience with welcoming friendly staff. Just a note of reference if you have a good foods gift card you can also use it here as well.

Our waitress is amazing!!! Not only did she handle four customers with several dietary requirements (celiac, vegan, etc), but she also managed to cater to us with five dogs hanging around the table. She insisted that it was no problem, but having to walk outside 6+ times, I could imagine that it got frustrating. She bought us water, told us to take our time, let us wait for our friends to turn up, and cleared some of the table so that we had more space. My friend, Emma, has celiac and the waitress informed us that the hollandaise has gluten in it. She offered to make fresh hollandaise for three of us as a result. It was delicious! (And we really appreciate the attention to detail.) The food was so good! I was worried that I wouldn't be full from my Eggs Benedict (extra hollandaise, extra halloumi) but I was wrong! EGGS BENEDICT - Really good! Bread was a little bit soft and the hollandaise was tart, but not in a bad way. It went down a treat. HALLOUMI - Really squeaky and salty, it was great. Perfect halloumi! EGGS ROYALE - The salmon was delicious. I snuck some while my friend was distracted. Emma was able to get gluten free toast with it. She really enjoyed it. WARM ASIAN SALAD - My friend, Lizz, asked for a recommendation and the waitress picked this one for its stronger flavour. Lizz really enjoyed it, but she said she wishes the noodles were softer. I think they were crunchy for texture. Lizz also said that the tofu needed more maple syrup, but mostly cos it was really tasty and she wanted more. Overall, this was a great experience! I'd never been here before but I would definitely consider going back. The coffee was good, the food was great, and the service was geuinely outstanding! (I left a $20 tip, they deserved it.)

Food is always good and the cake range is great if you just want coffee and cake. Saw a very sweet act of kindness from the staff, two kids came in because it was to cold to wait outside for their parents, the waiter approached and instead of asking them to leave got them a bowl of chips for free even though he knew the kids had no money. Made my day to see it. Well done to the cafe.😊

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was almost empty. I can see why now. Salt and pepper Calamari was floury but ok. Nothing else in the fisherman's platter was eatable. Everything was oil soaked and greasy. The chips are McDonald's French fries but oily and soggy. It was horrible! We found the waitress to be very nice so that was the one thing going for the place but it was also extremely expensive. We will not be going back.

This place is surprisingly good! Come here for the crunchie or caramel cake. Simply divine. Service is swift and friendly. Didn't have any food but saw that the portions were large. Decent wine list and not overly expensive (bin 128 at $60). They also have a fire so you can relax on the nice sofa and stay toasty warm.
