Louie's Bbq Pit

This place should be on DDD. The chicken is smoked and flavorful, the bbq sauce is on point. Ribs are very good. Pork belly was one of the best I've had. Pitmaster Louie is a stand up guy, he puts his heart in the food and you can tell. Very friendly atmosphere. Worth taking a trip From hoboken or Fort Lee.

I had the honor of eating at this place three weeks ago. We had an order of ribs with rice and beans and a brisket sandwich and french fries. The owner who presented us with food was pleasant. He provided us with interesting stories and interesting conversations. The food was plentiful, tasted great and will definitely return for a visit in the future and plan on ordering the food for a party or event. The ribs I would rate 8/10 and the brisket was out of this world (10/10). Typically I would rate the ribs higher but the brisket blew me away and I had to differentiate how good the brisket was.

Two words: BBQ NIRVANA! Great chicken and BBQ beef ribs, rice and beans were delicious (lentils that were an excellent compliment to the white rice) and their croquettes were perfect. I loved the herbs in the dry rub and extra sauce. Great fries too. What a great place to eat, we will be ordering again!

I ordered online for delivery to our hotel, $48 and didn’t get our order right . Ordered ribs dinner supposed to have gotten sweet potato casserole received regular mashed potatoes. Ordered brisket sliders, received meat only it was supposed to come with bread, fries and coleslaw . Ordered pulled pork sandwich also supposed to come with bread fries coleslaw. Asked for beans instead of fries only got beans.. not worth the money at all... meat was good but definitely didn’t fill up our family ... disappoint and to call try to ask to fix it but they don’t speak good English so pretty much stuck..

Its been difficult to just find good BBQ, but just about a week ago I found Louies BBQ.. I was already predicting it to be like the other BBQ joints I had already tried... I very happy to have tried it & I'm even better to have been wrong in my prediction. The brisket sandwich was very flavorful & very tender. It reminded me of my home state cookin Texas. It really didn't need the sauce. . & the sauce itself was great too. It wasn't spicy either. . I dont know if they have a mild spicy sauce.. maybe they'll add one down the road. But regardless of that I'm still going back. The owners were very friendly which made the experience better.

Visiting from South Florida we heard from friends of Louie's BBQ Pit producing some amazing Southern Food! This is a must go to place! I started with the brisket sandwich and had to order the pulled pork sandwich as well....could not resist the opportunity to eat this great food prepared in the huge smoker. Don't miss out..I urge you to visit ...you won't be disappointed!
