I've been searching for quality sushi since moving to Connecticut. I came across Oko and came for the 14 dish omakase dinner . This meal was so finely currated . Each server knew every detail of each plate, and every piece I had had delicate yet complex flavors. From the a5 wagu , sea bream, amberjack , otoro and so on. This crew is sourcing the best ingredients. Sure, it's expensive. The best food usually is . I can see myself becoming a regular here.

Excellent menu, everything we chose was a work of art to the eye and taste. All sushi is by the piece so you will be able to sample an array of items. The staff is attentive and very knowledgeable and can describe all of the items on the menu. The cocktail menu is very good not over the top trying to hard, great classics with a modern twist. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu, just looking at what other tables were getting out of the kitchen. Save room for dessert trust me!!!!

I went to dinner expecting to see a normal a sushi menu but I happily surprised. The waitress recommended a few different types of sushi and every piece had a delightful, refreshing fusion of flavor. Oko has contemporary atmosphere and excellent service.

Covid hasn’t been kind to this place. The food is still pretty ok for Connecticut, but it now comes with New York attitude and belligerence. We used to spend at least $600/month here, mostly out of desperation to taste something that resembles sushi. Will now have to travel to Greenwich when in CT, I guess. I placed a $300 order on their website 24 hours in advance. They canceled the order 4 hours before scheduled pick up and told us they were understaffed. But then they offered us a reservation at the bar. So I asked if they had enough staff to make me the same food at the bar, couldn’t I technically come in, order it and then ask them to pack it up to go? I was told that the food was ONLY for in-house dining. So then I asked if they will actually force me to eat if there. I was told that the manager will get back to me about that. I am still waiting to hear. I don’t know how we got to a place where I feel I have to beg a restaurant to take my money. Something tells me it’s not a staffing issue. And then I wonder: Was this place worth saving during lock down? If you are here for the sushi, Greenwich has 1-2 decent options or, if you are up for a scenic drive, the sushi restaurant in Washington Depot is always amazing, authentic and owned by a lovely couple.

This Resturant is amazing the chef's are so friendly and funny. The food tastes like heaven‼️ I would totally recommend this resturant .

I thought the food and ambience were largely good. The service was quite good as well. But the thing that drives my review down (materially so) is the price point. Kawani is 90% as good for 50% the cost, in my opinion.

So let me start, the ambience is at the side of the river with good light ambience. If you’re looking for something cheap, go else where. So I had the Red Miso Grilled Octopus and the chef’s selection nigiri for appetizer. The red miso octopus is really great!! I would recommend ordering two. The nigiri however is really overpriced.
Now let’s move to the main dish, I ordered OKO Ramen Noodle that has lobster, black sesame and miyoga, it was okay~is but for $24? I think an Indo-mie is better together with a boiled lobster on the side. The Hamachi Belly Poke however is good as well.
I may have just ordered the wrong food but nonetheless, this is not your everyday restaurant that you keep on coming back. Total bill was around $90.17 for 2 appetizer and 2 entrés and a tea that has a very weak tea taste.

The sashimi quality may a bit little better than other typical US sushi resturants but a lot pricier.
Lobster Ramen was disappointing considering its price point (~$1 korean noodle probably Nongshim-made, plus tiny amount of chopped up lobster meat)
Okinomiyaki was ok but ones I had in Osaka was much better. Good service and presentation.
