I enjoyed my visit. The server gave enough attention, anticipated my expectations, and was polite. It's not that often that you see a proactive server in any restaurant which made the service an interesting experience. The place seems like an authentic Ethiopian restaurant overall. The food was delicious as well. I would definitely visit again.

I enjoyed the food here but waited about an hour to get it. After placing an order for a vegetarian combination platter and doro wat, my friend and I sat passively for almost an hour waiting to actually eat. While we waited, our server did not come back to offer other drinks (I had a beer), and the restaurant slowly emptied out. Frankly, there are lots of other places where the food is just as good where the wait is 10-15 minutes. I'm glad to have tried the food here, but I won't be back. Thanks for the memories, Erta Ale.

Food was great and reasonably priced, although there weren't many vegetables. However, it took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive, and my friend's tea, ordered with other drinks, didn't arrive until we got the check. They weren't very busy, so it shouldn't have been a volume issue. Also, the restaurant, while looking quite clean, smelled strongly of a Glade-Plug-in type chemical scent- very unpleasant. Overall, I'd give 3 1/2 stars if possible. Food and helpfulness of staff was 4-5 stars but the restaurant and timeliness of service was 2-3 stars.

This was one of my favorite spots when I used to live in Maryland. I passed it by accident once and decided to go in for a late breakfast. The food was amazing, and Solomon, the owner was very friendly. We sat and talked as he explained to me about the traditions surrounding Coffee in Ethiopia. I liked it so much that I came in about once a month from that point forward. Coming here felt less like going to a restaurant and more like being invited for a meal at a friend's house, complete with homestyle cooking, and lively conversation.

The service is very poor and I don't recommend this place for anyone. The food was not fresh and not tasty aswell. And even when we tell to them they don't want to admit rather trying to argue. The owner approach is very unprofessional and above all he charged us extra for the service that we haven't used. So watch the receipt carefully and the billed amount before you left if you decided to go there. If it was possible I'd give it a Zero star rating.
