Wild West Saloon

We went to the Wild West Junction after a train ride from the Grand Canyon. The outside of the place looked like a place the kids would like with an old west theme. We tried opening the door to the place, but a man came to the door and said the dining area was closed but go around the corner because they were serving their food out of the saloon the rest of the day. So we went around to the saloon. Just an FYI, the "saloon" does not keep up with the theme the outside of the place would suggest. It was just a small bar like you would find anywhere else. There was 1 bartender handling the whole room. There were 4 tables to serve and about 3 guys at the bar. She was very nice and helpful. Our appetizer arrived in a timely fashion (the rib tips were very good) but our dinner for four took well over an hour to arrive, and I can't say that the meal was worth it. Clearly the kitchen was understaffed or new or something. I can't remember what everyone got. A few burgers, I think. I got the brisket. It was fine, but not something I'm raving about to people. Everyone ate and we split. When we were done, we were just tired after a long day hiking and got in the car. On our way out of town, we saw other spots on route 66 in Williams that we had wished we would have gone to instead. Felt like a wasted opportunity at such a historic part of the country. Again, the bartender was very helpful and nice, plus we liked the rib tips. But if they tell you to go to the saloon for dinner because the main dining part is closed, I would suggest going down the street to another place. This place isn't what you want on a vacation for a family dinner. That said, if I was staying at the hotel across the street and I needed a drink, this place would be fine.

We went to eat here this past weekend. It was a group of 8. It took a while to get our food but we understood since it was a big group. The messed up on all orders except for 1. We ordered the $36 16 oz ribeye and they brought us a small piece of sirloin. They did take it back and brought us the 16 oz steak. However, the steak was damn near raw! (I ordered it medium well) They also brought me a cold baked potato ( which I think they just served me the same one from the first order) I told the server to take it back as I no longer wanted it. She offered to reheat which I declined and then she offered to remake. At this point I was already upset and I was not going to wait another 40 minutes for a 3rd plate. I know it wasn’t her fault but she started rolling her eyes right in front of us. Very disappointed in this place. I knew I should of gone to Texas road house and spent $20 on a nice juicy delicious steak!!!!!

Raw prime rib: NOT family friendly; trashy atmosphere, AVOID THIS PLACE. Staff could care less if they were cursing in front of children. The $32 prime rib was inedible and they did not care nor listen. I should have sent it back but the general mood of the place was violent. This is a place for hard scrabble LOCALS ONLY LOOKING TO GET DRUN. Do NOT pay attention to any review two stars and above. They are clearly fake. Believe he, this is a black eye for Williams. Again, AVOID this place. Families, STAY AWAY!

The 12oz. T-bone steak we ordered came see through thin, I bet less then 6 oz's, it looked like they sliced a normal T-bone in half. It's been 22 hours and the weird taste is still stuck with me. The mashed potatoes, they were out of baked potatoes, were... different, a hockey puck, popsicle mix, as quoted from my wife, is the best description of them. The corn was way overcooked. The beer was awesome, two local brews that made the stop not a total loss. I have reviewed restraunts all across America and this was the second worst restaurant we ate in, but we argue about this. The price for this disgusting meal was over one hundred dollars, think about that and do not stop here for dinner, just a tasty local brew.
