Absolutely disgusted in the service that was provided to me today. Having placed a curbside pick up order a month in advance with a set time for pick up at 10 AM, I naturally got to the store at 9:45 AM, called to let them know I was there and waiting. They acknowledge that they were going to pick my order and get it out to me as soon as possible. They then said that they were a little busy today and it might take it a half hour or so. Understanding that this is Christmas Eve I naturally have no problem with waiting. I waited the half hour that was allotted, and then waited another half hour more before deciding to call again and find out what was going on. When the phone is answered very nice lady told me that the order was being picked it will be out shortly. I then waited another hour and still had no contact from them about my order. I decided to call yet again and was told the same story over and over again it's being picked it'll be out shortly. I waited yet again for another half hour and still no order had been delivered to me or call given to tell me it was ready. I finally had to "literally," not figuratively, stop their employees and halt their business in order to get anyone to finally get off their rear ends and get my order it should've been ready 2 1/2 hours ago. Absolutely disgusted in the service that was provided. This place used to be amazing.... Since the fire the quality has gone downhill, and the service even more so. I really wish this place would go back to the way it used to be.

I placed an on line order for 2 dozen peanut rolls and a half tray of tomatoe pie. My rating is for the customer service not the food has that is terrific. I requested a 7:40 am pick up time in store and I arrived at 7:35 am waited in line for my turn. The lady that waited on me rude and dismissive from the start. I started off with a good morning gave my name and proceeded to explain that I was here for my on line pick up order. It went down hill from there. She very sternly explained to me that they don't start work until 6 am and all of vendors orders have to packed up and the store shelves have to be filled and only if they time after will they do on line orders as call ins come first. I was shocked by the way she spoke to me as there where other customers in line behind me and when I turned to look at them they where looking at me. She then took her ime to get a tray of tomatoe pie to cut for my order as she packed the peanut rolls she dropped one and looked at me as if she was going to pick it up. She then went on to explain again about the time they and that on line orders have to wait. She asked me did I need anything else and I said yes 6 small cannolis and 6 chocolate small cannolis they where tossed in the box and the box wasn't even closed correctly.at the register when she rang up the 12 small cannolis the price came to $27 she then said to me you look confused are you alright I said yes as again there was a customer standing next to me to pay for his order. The phone was ringing and she do you this I said what she said the phone ringing I stated yes and she then said I guess their orders will wait too. I gave been going to Serpes Bakery since I was a child. The worst part of the morning was I was on my blue tooth and my sister heard the entire encounter. I have been so embarrassed. She did womanplan to me how hard it is to work with just a staff of two. This employee has not a clue what I do for a living and should never treat a customer let alone a human being this way. She needs a soft skill and customer training.

Only 4 stars because of how busy they are all the time. Not their fault, it's because the deserts and rolls are so good. But they go through employees left and right because they are stressed out so busy. Which leads to new people and being understaffed. Leading to errors. Even with Covid they stayed extremely busy once opened again. I read a review from some guy about how he was so upset his order was delayed/late because they were Sooo busy. Guy said "it was Xmas Eve and a mad house" but doesn't matter he wanted his order on time. Now, when ordering by phone you can expect something to go wrong. Happens a lot they're so busy. Go do it in person. The employees are working every holiday and go in at 4-5am each day to have your deserts, bread, and pies ready. Give the employees a break! They work hard and make delicious items.

I ordered my sons 4th birthday cake 3 weeks in advance to have them call me the day before saying they can’t make it the right size. I settled on a smaller one being it’s the day before his party. Then they give me the wrong cake and accuse me of lying about seeing it in the store. I don’t know why I’d drive all the way home knowing I have the wrong cake and the order slip clearly says something other then what you gave me. Then they say I can only get a refund if I drive all the way back there and RETURN the wrong cake!!!! Oh and that I can’t even get the right one they don’t have one available today!!!!! So I’d end up with no cake at all for my sons birthday. To top it off the lady on the phone hung up on me, I wasn’t cursing or yelling just trying to resolve a problem. DO NOT GO HERE just the unprofessionalism is unreal. I’ve never been treated so horrible as a paying customer who was clearly given the wrong product.

I was very disappointed today, when I went to pick up my order (ordered 3 days prior), the pepperoni bread I ordered was not ready. I was told to come back in an hour (they did apologize). I came back 1-1/4 hours later and was told that the pepperoni bread would not be ready for an hour (what?). Then another employee said we told them an hour and it’s less than 1/2 hour. I told her that was not true and then just asked for my money back as I cannot continue to run there to see if it is ready. We have been going to Serpes for years, was sorry to see the disregard for customers.

When you pay 36 dollars for a Birthday Cake make sure you do not rush..... take it OUT of the box. If u can cut it in half and see how the filling is not EVEN .. I had no filling in the center ... I paid for fresh strawberries and bananas..... and vanilla custard ... Welll they must have sliced 2 strawberries soooo thin you barely needed to chew .....and two small bananas sliced long wise to take up for the lack of strawberries..... and the custard was no where near the center ... LOOK AT THE Lettering you can not even see the A ,Y in Lindsay and it was done over twice to fix it , I think look at the P P not ro mention it's not even straight THE CHOCLATE ICING ON THE BOTTOM IT TURNED WHITE ??
