El Tapatio

Hadn’t been here in a long time. Instead of eating while in Raleigh I decided to find a restaurant at home. I placed a to go order and by the time I got my food it was cold. I had to ask about my order. Poor customer service. And when I asked for my receipt the young lady told me the man in the back threw it away. Too many Mexican restaurants around for me to return here.

So the food was ok, the salsa that came with the nachos was too watery, I ordered the salmon & shrimp plate which was very basic (not a lot of flavor there) and the avocado salad that was very disappointing since it had very little avocado. The other dishes didn't really look very appealing either, but the rest of the guys said their did was only ok too. There are way better Mexican options around here.

It was my first time dining here. I decided to go try their lunch special. Food was great but service was horrible. I didn't get a chance to sit and the server was already asking me what did I want to drink. I told her to give me a few minutes I haven't had the chance to look at the menu. I ordered my soda and immediately asked me what was I going to order. I wasn't ready literally 2mins in the restaurant and I'm suppose to know what I want to drink and eat? After ordering my food she comes and drops off the check without me asking her. Like really whats the rush? I thought she had to leave early but no. She sat down on her phone and would roll her eyes when customers walked in. If you dont like your job go elsewhere. This was my first and last time I go to this restaurant. Train your employees!!!

The staff at this location is amazing!! We had a very large party of soccer players/families and they were able to accommodate us after another location gave us a 2 hour ETA. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was awesome. Thank you to this amazing staff for finding a way to provide 5 star service and feed our hungry soccer crew! If we are ever in Wilson again, we will definitely support this business!
