Windsor Locks Diner

As the waitress was taking my order, the phone rang. The owner started yelling at her to leave me and go answer the phone. He could have answered it himself. I should have left then. I'm a vegetarian. I ordered my omelet, which did not have meat in the description. After I ate some of it I realized there was meat in it. I pointed this out to the owner who looked at the menu, saw that I was correct, but then started yelling at me that in 9 years no one has complained. He was literally yelling at me that I had eaten half the food before I realized there was meat in it. I worked in restaurants for many years when I was younger. I am polite, a good tipper and sympathetic to the difficulties of running a restaurant. I was not angry when I told him of the problem with my food. The correct response should have been to apologize for the mistake, not yell at me for pointing it out. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Took an out of town friend there for lunch. Quick friendly waitress. Carrots were still frozen. Asked for them to be reheated. Chef/owner came out from back and told us “you no like food here don’t come back”. He must have had a bad day. Too bad he took it out on us. Terrible experience and I will never recommend this place.

I wasn't a fan. Came in there and the only thing that four of us liked was a waffle. Pancakes didn't taste good, neither did the breakfast potatoes. I was pretty upset. Then when I left I found out our breakfast was $64.. insane. I wanted to try a small town diner, won't try this one again. Service was great. Food just wasn't.

Started off good, servers were friendly and the food came out quickly. We ordered “the mess” and the “farmer’s omelette”. Tasted good not great, the home fries were very bland and the bacon was rubbery in the mess and then about a quarter of the way into the meal I found a piece of hair mixed in with my eggs. When the server came back to check on us I informed her about the hair and she apologized and told me she would have a new meal made. I appreciate the gesture but I had lost my appetite and told her I didn't want another meal made. Instead of telling the cook I wasn't interested she had the meal made anyway and brought out to me, which I didn't eat and just asked for the check. We were still charged full price for everything, overall not a great experience and I wouldn't recommend.
