Gurkha Royale Restaurant & Bar Windsor

Food was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choice something unusual for us to have. We type to select the specialty dishes everywhere we go. Their recommendations were great and suited our taste very well. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Parking is a bit of an issue, but local roads didnt charge to park there. I just don’t like feeling I’m taking a space from the local houses. However that wasn’t the case here, there was plenty of room.

A friend and I, with whom I go out for a meal and catch-up every month or two, went to the Gurkha Royale last night for a meal, for the third time this year. The food was a good as ever, and the service was wonderful. The “Gurkha’s Revenge” wasn’t as hot as I thought it might be, however it was still delicious, as is every other dish I’ve eaten there, and they’re very reasonably priced. The service is perfect (prompt, friendly), although it’s not included in the bill and I didn’t notice until afterwards so was unable to (deservedly) tip them. If you want to do so, perhaps remember to bring some cash! I’m sure it won’t be long until we find ourselves back here again for another meal. Would definitely recommend.

I never write reviews but I am compelled to write one today! From the moment we arrived at this restaurant we were totally spoilt. The food and ambiance was outstanding and the service was impeccable. I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to any food lover. I forgot to pick up my coat on leaving and the management kindly offered to post it back to me as we live over 50 miles away! So kind and helpful staff. Very rare find ❤️

🥂💝 I can't even express what a beautiful food and hospitality we had last night! It was so special occasion for us - 15th Wedding Anniversary and all was perfectly organised by Mirjeta❤️ She did the best service!! Like everyone there too! What a surprise we found! Amazing Nepalese and Indian food- top food❤️ and a great customer service!!! Every one wished us happy Anniversary! ❤️❤️❤️it was a special night in a very special place which we highly recommended!! Will be back and wish everyone to celebrate it there!

We visited this place to celebrate our 14th anniversary and were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable about the food and restaurant and very friendly. They recommended some of the most popular dishes and it was delicious. As it was our anniversary, the restaurant sent me a cocktail to celebrate, which was divine. The steamed lamb momos were the highlight of the evening, very different to anything we've had before but phenomenal, think steamed gyoza dumpling with a curry type sauce, we also had the zesty prawn skewer starter which was also nice. My partner had the GR Himalayan curry with goat which comes with 4 or so little accompaniments and I had the madras, both of which were full of flavour and utterly delicious. We tried the coconut creme brulee to finish off and it was to die for, lovely coconutty flavour and creamy custard. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 6pm and by the time we left after 8, it was jam packed full of diners.
