The King And Castle

Another spoons that doesn't look or feel like a spoons. The outside is like any old high St pub opposite Windsor Castle with outside seating. When you enter the pub it is nothing like the standard spoons decor. Yes, dark wood,but it just looks more. I know, weird. The pub is VERY BIG existing over 3 floors with bars on the ground and lower ground levels. Our the back there are two levels: a small area at ground level and a much larger beer garden at lower ground level. The furniture is also not your normal spoons fare wit ab eclectic mix of modern and classic tables and chairs. The staff were nice and friendly. The Guinness was excellent

We are visiting Windsor for the weekend, we had drinks in the bar Saturday evening and breakfast Sunday morning. We really like Wetherspoons and always look to see if there is a spoons around when we go away, you can’t beat the value for money it offers. The King & Castle was clean, spacious and all the staff friendly and helpful, the drinks are a great price and our breakfast muffins delicious. The pub is in the heart of Windsor, it’s busy with a fabulous view. I would recommend and I would return if we come back to Windsor.

Certainly one of the better Wetherspoon pubs. Very clean though out including the toilets. Staff very friendly and regularly clearing tables even though it was very busy. Food is what you’d expect from an spoons however service was quick and food was hot. Security staff on the door were also very friendly and welcoming.

A wonderful view of Windsor Castle. God save the King! Use the number on the table to place your food & drink orders. Then, take your drinks at the table & enjoy 🍻. Clean all around, crowded during main hours. Prices were good! Thank God for our trip & helping get a nice table with a view at dinner!

Don't be deceived that it looks full when you first walk in, there are plenty of other tables both upstairs and downstairs. Just had a light lunch of a BBQ Chicken, Bacon and Cheddar Cheese Panini, with an included drink, which was excellent value. There is the option to have it with either chips or salad depending on how you feel on the day. The app works really well too, and even better if there is a queue at the bar. The staff were really quick to deliver the food and drink and also to clear the tables when someone left.
