Dairi-wip Drive-in

Went to check out this Winnipeg Classic burger spot. Ordered a Fatboy along with Fries & gravey and large soda. The Fatboy was very tasty, and messy. You will always need extra napkins for this one 👍🏻 The fries and gravey was not for me, they were shoestring fries and gravey was a little to runny for my choice. The price of the meal was expected. It has allot of free parking which is always a bonus. Its CASH only in this establishment and as it does have a few picnic tables for you to sit at outside, no dining in here, which also adds the nostalgia. The gentleman who took my order was very polite as well. I can total see why this burger spot has a loyal customer following.

Great fat boy burger! Thick moist patty, and many napkins needed makes it great! Would be 5 ⭐️’s but the fries in the poutine which have this claim, “Savoury home cut shoestring fries made to order”, were hard like they had been under the warmer and not fresh, making them disappointing. The poutine was much to small for over $8. Next time will try a shake, float or sundae.

First time trying Dairi-Wip, really just wanted homemade fries and gravy...not gonna lie I was disappointed with the fries and the gravy tasted kind of weird, I think it was beef gravy? Not sure. But I was expecting thicker fries to hold up with the gravy. I got a double cheese burger, I should of added extra cheese as it needed it, I didn't get chili on it, not a fan of chili on the burger but I did ask for extra pickles which they added. Id come back again, it was decent.

Fat Boys + Poutine = amazing. I'm a repeat customer and they stay consistent. I'm not a big fan of fat boys but I can always go for one here. The poutine with the shoe cut fries made me do a happy dance. Don't worry, all that gravy is a good thing. There are still crispy fries down there. Order directly on their website!!! We didn't have to wait long and they will bring it to your vehicle.
