Sushi N

I have been ordering sushi from here for over 10 years and it is 11/10. I’ve tried other places but have yet to find one this good. The rolls are a very good size and not expensive. The quality is always great. During COVID they have only been open for pickup but always include free drinks with every order!! The staff are so friendly. I will forever order from this place.

By far the best sushi… and service. I was recommended by a friend and wondered how much different it could be, but let me tell you that the food is fresh and tasty and even passes my picky chef husband’s standards! Good portions, fair pricing, phenomenal taste. And the service is friendly and accommodating from the family who owns and runs this locally owned business. Come by and have some sushi and support a great business and a lovely family who puts their hearts into preparing good food.

I should start by saying, I agree with the others that said they never answer their phone. We had to drive there make our order then come back to pick it up AND then we had to wait well over 30 minutes passed the pick up time they gave us. The rolls were not made well, every piece fell apart when picked up and the bacudan roll had way, way too much tempura on it. I was really not impressed with the quality. I have had much better sushi at other places. On top of that, the guy asked for a tip?!! We drove there to make the order, we came back to pick up the order and then we waited 30 minutes and not only did he expect a tip, he actually had the nerve to ask for one??!! Again, really not impressed, I won’t return.

4.5 Star First time visiting here. Did take-out order (while passing the 2nd lockdown during pandemic). Wow! Glad I found this Japanese restaurant (sushi specialty). One of the recommended one in South Saint Vital area. The toppings, sashimi inside it has the right textures. Delicious. Freshness was great. The dine-in ambience is comfortable when I walk-in. I have been to other sushi houses in the city, I will say this is my top 5. Note: 1. pricing is above average (a little pricey) in the mainstream Japanese sushi resto category 2. Maybe try to reduce plastics on your take-out packaging 3. Speaking of the sushi roll itself, the "Sumeshi" or known as sushi Rice did not hold the sushi firm enough when you catch it with chopsticks. No comment for the service. Since I only did take-out. I hope I can try again in the future once everything back to normal for dine-in so I can update the review.
