Piazza De Nardi

I don't want to write this review ; but its necessary after our last few experiences there. There is no consistency in the dishes they serve ala-carte. One day, it can taste one way..and the next week its completely different. The main culprit here is the Goulash. One day its perfect, the next its overspiced and under flavoured. If you don't value consistency, you risk losing a customer base. I know that Di Nardi can do better. However their grocery section is always full of neat finds, and gems. The fish and meat counter are always clean, and the product is fresh. The coffee selection from Phil and Seb are always roasted within about a month and the cheese counter always has what I need, when I need it. If not, they know who does or if they can get it. Heres hoping that they can find consistency in their ready to eat selection, because I know they can do great things.

UPDATE! Added one more star, after visiting “De Nardi” a few more times… no bad smell. Thanks Ordered a "red velvet" cake. awesome cake, all the guests were delighted, fresh and beautifully decorated. Taking off one star because of the smell in the store. When picking up the order, the store smells unfresh and unpleasant.

We are posting a review to say how excellent the service was when we placed our pick-up order, particularly with Antonio’s assistance. It is rare to find such a consciousness person who understood how important it was for us to get our order on time for a special family occasion we were hosting. When we placed our order he made us feel like we were in good hands. You are fortunate to have such a “people person” as part of your team. We love your fine store, excellent products and your welcoming staff.

If you want to buy something different , this is definitely the place to go! Their pastries are awesome and their variety make it difficulty to choose from. They are very soft and not too sweet but just enough to absorb the great taste . I have also tried their pasta and stuffed veal, which was awesome! They also have variety of wines. Everyone should definitely try this place.

I very much appreciated how they had mandatory masks here. I found some of the staff very helpful, some not so much, so overall I guess that evens out. They certainly have some items here I can't find anywhere else easily. Overall, it's a neat shop, and the bakery is great, but certainly not where I would go for regular grocery shopping as it is a small selection.
