Hadn't been to the Downs in years and wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to see how up to-date and organized the place was. It still has the feel and atmosphere of a classic horse racing track but also has current technology blended in (self serve kiosks etc.) One specific feature I appreciated was the booth on the way in where you can learn how horse racing works. They were very knowledgeable and provided information in a way that was easy for a newbie or someone that hadn't been there for a while to understand.
We didn't go to the buffet due to a mobility issue I currently have but my friend went upstairs to check out the restaurant and other areas. Her feedback was positive and that we will definitely being going back for dinner and racing next time.

Had a good experience at the Food Truck Wars on May 28, 2022. Event was all day saturday and sunday this weekend. Lots of choices of different foods. Beer Gardens were there. $5 entrance fee. Enjoyed some birria tacos, pickerel taco and sugar coated churros while we were there.

Assiniboia downs is an absolutely great night out at the races !!!
It starts at 7.30pm and goes till about 11.00pm ish it's Monday, Tues and Wednesday
There is a great selection of beers, cocktails, food and ice cream
I'd definitely go again
You can put a bet on the horses and they have a restaurant upstairs with a full bar and over 130 VLTs video slot machines if you like to gamble a bit
Tonight wad my first time ever at the horseraces and we are leaving with over $100 in profit so very lucky and very fun !!!

Joy of the weekend here with the fair markets . Mostly here you’ll find good street food and drinks stands . They have the indoor stands for clothing and accessories shopping. Sit and enjoy live music while having your food is kind of chill

Always love coming here. Used to come here as a child with my parents and now I get to come here with my kids.
Good food and the vlts are a must.
And of course the horse races are definitely the main attraction.

Went to the food truck wars. Liked the way it was set up and lots of space to have a seat to eat. Loved the local talent that was presented.

Had a great experience at their Canada Day event. It was easy to navigate, and parking was cheap. We even lost my son's backpack, and the office staff returned my voicemail promptly to confirm they had it. It was very easy to arrange pickup for it. My only complaint is that it took about an hour to exit the parking lot, but it was Canada Day with several cars leaving all at once.

Great establishment, good entertainment. Haven't tried the restaurant but the concession stand is good food.
