Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

Giving it a 2 is me being nice for the fact that they gave me service. I won’t ever eat here again. We got our chips n salsa and drinks and felt like years before our server came back to take our orders. My sister ordered and he walked off before she could even get a word out about what filling she wanted in her enchilada. After what felt like eternity we finally got our food and it tasted like it had just been sitting there. None of it tasted fresh at all. It felt like we were eating food they prepared hours ago and heated up. I’ve eaten at plenty of Mexican restaurants but this one here takes the cake for the ONLY bad one that I’ve been to in this entire city. It was a disappointment. Was really looking forward to trying this place as well because it’s so close to home. This place also lacks flavor like it tastes like you’re eating texture with a tiny bit of seasoning. The best part of the meal was my Sierra Mist. This is me judging kindly.

Me and my bestfriend are frequent customers, we have been going here for years, this was the first bad experience we have ever had! Saturday we went for lunch, and I clearly asked for my food to be without lettuce, and the waiter argued with me about my food and basically tried to refuse to take it back, he also had an attitude with me because he had to take it back after HE got my order wrong! Food was OK, but it could have been better, I didn’t complain about it! We get our ticket and he charged my friend for the largest alcoholic beverage, (we know the prices and the sizes of the drinks) we got to the register to get it fixed and the same waiter argued with us about the drink also, AND refused to charge us the correct price! I’m a server and I understand mistakes, but you don’t argue with your customers, you fix your mistake and keep it moving! We’ve been coming here since we were in high school, I don’t know if I’ll be back!

Had a nice lunch with an old friend. Service was great. They got everything on The table very quickly. The food was delicious. The only problem I had was when were done eating and only approx. Five tables in the whole restaurant were seated. Once they brought the check, they would No longer wait on you. My cup remained dry for 2.5hrs. That is not the very good customer service... There for no fifth star.

Too bad there's not a half star option because that's just what they'd get. That's only because the tea was good! Waiter was friendly at first but what waiter/waitress would wait on a table without bringing menus???? Then things went extremely wrong from there. He would never stick around long enough for me to finish my sentence/request. Inadvertently, he didn't get request right. Anytime we would try to ask him for something he wouldn't stick around long enough to hear us! It took longer than we expected to get our food. Food was edible but far from good. After asking for more chips and salsa (he had removed chip basket and salsa bowl), a waitress brought chips but no bowl for the salsa (she had the salsa container in hand). Then after a few minutes she came back by and asked if we were ok but didn't give us long enough to answer. Needless to say, we WILL NOT GO AGAIN!!

I heard a lot of good things about this place, so I was really disappointed. Let me clarify up front, I'm not a picky person at all. But after hearing the food was good, I was really surprised that there was zero flavour in the meat. I even asked my companions just to make sure it wasn't me. They said the same, it was plain unseasoned beef. I thought about asking for some Goya or something but didn't want to be rude. We also ordered a pitcher of margaritas and a couple shots of rum and tequila. The pitcher tasted like there was no alcohol in it, and I'm pretty sure my shot of rum wasn't rum. The service was very prompt, but the waiter never came back to check on the table. Each time we flagged him down from across the restaurant, he was very prompt though. Note, it was weekday lunch and almost no tables, so they were not busy. Everyone at my table remarked they had been there before and had great experiences, but it had been at night... so maybe going for dinner is a different thing and they either don't care about their lunch crowd or save their best cooks and staff for dinner rush. I was very disappointed after hearing such good things about this place. I give them stars for being prompt, and if you're in a lunch hurry, they're speedy.

Used to be pur favorite restaurant, but the last 2 times we went it has been nasty. The food has been nasty and the service has sucked. We've been 2 times since the cornoa virus has started and both times the food has not been the same. The cheese dip is watered down. The rice is differany and cooked to much. Just not good at all.
