So when I heard that Wangs Kitchen in Lulu Hypermarket- Al Barsha is now serving Filipino dishes, we immediately tried the same day we were doing our grocery run. Fried calamari were perfectly crisp, perfect as appetizers. Pancit canton-bihon got a thumbs up from my husband who’s a certified pancit monster! Tapsilog is particularly special with garlic basmati rice complementing the tender, flavorful tapa. My standards for Kare-kare are pretty simple: should have melt-your-mouth meat, peanuty (not too salty) sauce, perfectly cooked veggies and delicious side of bagoong— happy to say everything was met. Inihaw platter was a hit for me too, especially the isaw and chicken feet. The coffee jelly for dessert was not too sweet and was a nice way to end this awesome meal. We will definitely come back or order for delivery soon!
