Sigel's Epicurean Market-deli

My friend and I have been regular customers here and out of the nowhere they ask us for ID's knowing we are in our 30's since we showed them our ID'S many times so they got to they point where they didn't had to ask us for ID anymore, they were so rude with us the other day and ask my friend to step out of the store since she didn't bring her ID and refuse to take my card until she was completely out! We always been polite to them since we value respect and she stop bringing her ID because they knew we been customers for years, we'll at least my self. Very very disappointed!

I went into the store expecting to pair a cognac with a cigar I purchased at a cigar shop. I walked around looking at a few items. I noticed the store security officer's sights on me. I figured he was just doing what he is paid to do, observe patrons. I went to the counter and made my purchase. The security officer approached the counter I was at and made a comment I did not here clearly. He spoke again and said what's in the pocket as he put his hands on my pocket without my consent as I was being handed my purchase. I assumed this was some sort of joke or this store security guard was high on something as I could not tell by the dark shades he had on his face. I asked why do you think I have something? He stated where's the other bottle. I had on workout shorts and a t-shirt. The only items bulging from my pockets were my wallet full of money and credit cards and my personal and vehicle keys. Exactly what I had in my pockets when I walked into the store. There were two bottles on the counter I had just purchased for about $70. I questioned the store security why did he believe I had something and his explainnation made no sense to me at all! He said he saw me pick up another bottle. Yes I looked at several items in the store and selected what I wanted. I have no reason or need to take anything. I don't even understand why he marked me. How could he even see with the ultra dark shades on? As I walked from the counter he mumbled something to me and at that point I backed up and asked the woman clerk for a refund. This was unacceptable to be harassed for no reason and then be expected to spend my money here. I walked away from the situation because I knew it was the right thing to do although it was embarrassing knowing I had did nothing except walk into a store I had been in several times and never had this kind of issue. I will never come to this store again because of the embarrassment and unecessary harassment by the trusted store security. I left and made a purchase at the closest store to them. This store was more expensive yet busier than the Siegel's I had just left. I wonder if it's because they do not profile or harass their customers? Someone from corporate should really investigate if they care.
