Unsuspecting place with such yummy food. Cannot believe how delicious the pastas was! Granchio was out of the world……just needed some bread to mop up every little bit of sauce left. Breakfast platter was full of variety from savoury to sweet. We ordered 2 servings to feed 3 people. Definitely be back! Messy Tomato has friendly servers, a soothing atmosphere and exemplary kitchen staff. When I walked into the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by a male and female server who sat me down and walked me through the menu. I ordered the egg, broccolini, cheese and toast breakfast dish and an oat milk coffee and both were perfectly executed. Afterwards, I had a great chat with the owner and kitchen attendant, both of which treated me to pleasant conversation. Highly recommend this place as breakfast/lunch catchup joint with friends.

Busy buzzing popular place on Sunday morning brunch where my friend raved about the place for its food. Yes the platter for 2 was instagram-envy worthy. However, improvements can be made in their timing. We booked for 10.30AM, but still had to wait 15 minutes. Friendly server was busy working the front of the house where she had to tend to people inside and outside the establishment and we probably were there during their peak time which was a surprise to see the one main server. Another person, perhaps the owner or manager helped out front from time to time which I thought, if you know your only wait staff is busy, take the initiative to help take orders, clear tables, quality check and be engaged with the customers rather than just monitor the situation. By the time a third person came out to help, rush hour service was over.

We had a 5 star dining experience, every touch point exceeded our expectations. The staff are highly experienced, greatly attentive, and didn't mind a joke while taking our order (which was a nice touch). The food was fantastic, the ingredients were fresh, tasty and the flavours were well balanced. The portion sizes were very generous, we had the shared breakfast between three of us and there was more than enough food to go around. Last but not least, the coffee was perfect, the weather called for an iced long black and is certainly hit the spot. We'll most definitely be back.
